In an effort to push back on the Democrats’ blue wave plans next month, we’re seeing plenty of Republicans running against the increasingly divisive and destructive trend of political correctness and thought police tactics of liberals. It’s a message that seems to be getting some traction in swing districts, particularly in California and Oregon where voters of all stripes are feeling the impact of feel-good, socialist theories being enshrined in their state’s laws. But one person I didn’t expect to be jumping on the bandwagon was New York Democratic Senator (and Senate Minority Leader) Chuck Schumer. Yet during a panel discussion on Morning Joe this week, Schumer was asked if this PC culture was a problem and he appeared to be forced to admit that it was. (Free Beacon)
Appearing on “Morning Joe” with Schumer to discuss the midterms, MSNBC host Steve Kornacki pointed out data analysis showing general Republican vulnerability with independent voters except in one area: “PC culture.”
“They really detest PC culture, political correctness culture, and maybe they sense that the Democratic Party and liberals in general don’t see it that way,” Kornacki said. “Is there too much political correctness in this country?”
“I think there is too much political correctness in this country, but I think health care is far and away the dominant issue,” Schumer said. “There’s a lot of political correctness on both sides all the time, and it’s not the biggest issue, not even close. Biggest issue with independents? Health care.”
Here’s the brief video clip just so you can make sure the statement wasn’t being taken out of context. (Spoiler: It wasn’t.)
Notice how Schumer is uncomfortable with the question and quickly tries to steer the discussion back to healthcare. (The Democrats still think they’ve got a winner with that one, which you can see in nearly all of the DCCC’s ads this season.) But even while making the admission that there’s “too much” PC culture in the country, Schumer makes sure to insert some whataboutism into his answer, claiming that there’s too much of it “on both sides all the time.”
Really? Would you care to cite some examples of overt political correctness among Republicans, Senator? I don’t know how often Chuck gets out of Washington these days or speaks to other members of his party, but according to virtually all Democrats, the Republicans (and conservatives in general) are the soul of political incorrectness. It’s practically written into the party platform.
Another reason for Schumer to get out of his bubble once in a while would be to go take a tour of the hotbeds of liberalism which thrive on the campuses of most of the nation’s colleges and universities. Things have gotten so out of hand these days that it’s difficult to imagine how any parents could justify spending tuition money to send their kids there. Lecture series on the inherent danger of whiteness, toxic masculinity and transgender appreciation are replacing STEM-based training and preparation for a career.
And has Senator Schumer taken any time out to go visit some of the liberal “protesters” (read: the mob) in the streets these days? People are in danger of losing their lives over political disagreements. Perhaps he could focus on fixing some actual problems like border security and skyrocketing murder rates in many larger cities before we start passing laws criminalizing the misgendering of people with the weaponized use of cisgender pronouns.
Realizing I was able to type that last sentence without having to look up those terms is enough to send me to the martini bar.
You guys invented it so stick it
“...but I think health care is far and away the dominant issue...”
Schumer...The ONLY reason health care in this country is any issue at all is because you and Obama screwed it up big time...
BUMP
More lying from a horrible leftist. He loves political correctness because it keeps the masses in control so he can live the good life and destroy and pillage at will with no one to stop him.

Is Schumucky seeing some bad internal polls for the Dems? They’re sure not acting like the arrogant bunch back in summer when they were bragging of taking back control of Congress.
PC is designed to make people afraid to use free speech. Democrats want tryanny, and freedom of speech has no place in it.
Chuckie is just saying this for the voters. It’s election time. He will go back to anti-speech policies after the election.
So hes going to become a Republican?
Well one thing is certain... he wont be welcome in the Dem Party after saying that.
Chuck you.
I saw a poll recently that said that more Americans trust ‘RATs with healthcare. This was all I needed to see to be assured that we are doomed! They are the ones that screwed up healthcare with the UNaffordable Care Act!
That’s a big admission for a Democrat. They likely realize that the PC-BS is backfiring on them.
Who conducted the poll? Also, remember polls are good only for being ignored.
Political Correctness is a doctrine recently fostered by a delusional, illogical minority and promoted by a sick mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a piece of shit by the clean end.
Harry S. Truman
What? No intersectionality?
The lying bastard.
Let’s not forget the staggeringly irresponsible handling of health care issues by the Bush admin and GOP Congresses of that era.
It was not the party’s finest hours, to say the least.
