Populist conservative author and columnist Pat Buchanan says the migrant caravan of more than 4,000 Honduran and Central American nationals is President Trump’s chance to demonstrate that he can stop the “third world invasion of the West.”
During an interview with Raymond Arroyo on the Laura Ingraham Show, Buchanan said the migrant caravan headed to the U.S.-Mexico border is an opportunity for Trump ahead of the 2018 midterm elections to show that he has the willpower to stop mass immigration at America’s borders.

I always liked Pat. And he’s right. I strongly believe that if Trump does nothing, he’s toast because he will have publically lied to his people. They aren’t as interested in tax cuts as they are about jobs, and securing our borders from invaders. If he isn’t going to protect our land, then a standing military is a waste of time and money. There’s no point in it. There’s no point in the expense if we don’t have a nation, and if we don’t have that border stopping point, then we don’t have a nation.
In which case, we may as well throw up our hands and let the demonrats have the mess, because we don’t have a government anyway.
I’ll be darned if I’m going to stand in long lines for nothing.

Pat Buchanan has it correct. President Trump HAS to stop this caravan. Swampthings have slithered into his inner circle. It’s time to be Commander in Chief and repel by all means what is an organized invasion.
I used to have great respect for Buchanan, and his opinions. Then he wrote ‘Churchill, Hitler, and The Unnecessary War.’ His arguments there in regard to WW I make sense. But his arguments in regard to WW II are - let us say - a bit odd.
For example, Buchanan says that Britain and France should not have declared war on Germany after Hitler invaded Poland. Let Hitler have Poland, free and clear. Just like Hitler took Austria, the Sudetenland, and then Czechoslovakia proper...free and clear.
Some folks say that this makes Buchanan a Hitler apologist. Maybe...

This is exactly what happened in Europe...it’s being funded by the same people. Only here, their “soldiers” can just storm the border without crossing water. They lost the Court & the blue wave is failing to materialize....maybe they are going for broke.

Buchanan’s wrong. There will be a chance to stop it, when enough Republicans are in Congress to end the catch-and-release legislation from before. Many of those claiming that President Trump can do it all by himself are wanting President Trump out of office before he gets enough of the right people in Congress. The trolls know that he has many in Congress and in the judiciary working against him.

I watched Levin and Dr. Michaels. The Dr. destroyed the IPCC and the other idiots who claim AGW/climate change is real.
If Trump is able to stop this the Dems will say that is proof a wall is not necessary; If he can’t, DEMs will say he’s incompetent and so impeach him or send in the Clowns.
Kartographer, the President can’t stop the flood of people from the south all by himself with Congress and the judiciary working against him. With a few bad Republicans getting out with the midterm election, we have a chance for a conservative majority that will help the President by correcting some bad legislation that mandates the catch-and-release operations that we’ve been seeing.
Our U.S. government has a separation of powers between three branches: the executive, the legislative and the judicial. The President can’t do it all by himself.
There are Internet sites that can be found for learning about civics or how the U.S. government works. I once took a university course called American Government, and it was helpful (but intense, fast and voluminous).
Here’s an easy way to learn a little about the legislative process with a few short videos. It should be a little helpful. Be sure to look up a site that teaches more about how our government works. It should be easy to find.

JoSixChip, in my opinion, we need to bring some civics learning materials to Free Republic. I haven’t seen texts or other information from bills posted here except for a few posted by me in the past. It’s a shame, really. There’s no copyright problem with posting bills in full, because taxpayers pay for government documents written on government time or with government funding.
And Pat Buchanan? He ranks right up there close to Lyndon LaRouche, although he’s a little more subtle. At least Alex Jones moved some of the Booby Hatch Constituency to the right over the course of about 20 years and dropped them in our laps. LOL!

This was orchestrated by the Rats to try to discredit Trump in the upcoming elections. Trump must turn the table on them and use it as an opportunity to further increase the turnout of his base. Ignoring it would not help him.

Now we have more of a big picture of what Democrats and their favorite con$tituent$ are doing with the invasion circus. They’re trolling the most ignorant and otherwise affected Republicans to stop them from voting in the midterms.
Breitbart now has at least two articles written by trolls or morons who want to take support in Congress away from President Trump. Both articles (by John Binder and Robert Kraychik) make the claim that President Trump can stop the migrants all by himself against the wishes of a pro-slavery Senate majority (a handful of Republicans and all of the Democrats) and many activist judges.

That’s a curse. A lot of marching morons are begging for it, even though they’ll be least likely to survive it. If they want to live in a free country, on the other hand, they’ll need to care enough to learn a little and vote accordingly (nothing compared to what the President and his people have done).
Learning about American civics and acting properly on the knowledge is part of becoming a real American instead of languishing in the foreign cultures of their all-too-recent foreign ancestors. The U.S.A. isn’t a perpetually self-replenishing goody basket for a bunch of foreign fascist families who arrived less than 150 years ago to continue plucking it and demanding more.
