“How quickly could the military put up protective walls?”
Methinks that we can put up barriers that would be effective enough, until a proper wall, etc. is built - across several hundred miles of the Texas border with Mexico. There are many other things that can be done also, things that are less than lethal - for example, heat rays, sound weapons, spraying “skunk juice” all over them with high-powered hoses, etc.
This had BETTER be stopped, and I believe that Trump has every intention of doing just that. After all, this is the primary reason that he was elected, and if he cannot repel these invaders with weeks of warning, then he will have been an utter failure and will not be re-elected. However, Donald Trump will not fail, as it is a word and concept that is just not part of his being.
A very deep trench might work. They’ll fall in and won’t be able to get out. We can lift them out and plop them right back in Mexico.
