“They will put children and pregnant women at the front of the caravan”

Which is where I would want them. If they get to the border. Stop them in their tracks and tell them they will be processed . Women and children first. Get all the women and children on buses or planes and deliver them back to their home country. Then deal with the “young” men who would be all that’s left. March them back to Mexico at gun point, and tell Mr president of Mexico to come and get them, No pictures of the “children” or women for dems to cry over.

The president is certainly right to declare a state of emergency.

It would not be wise or necessary at this time to place military forces across the Mexican border. Economic pressure can be placed on Mexico. If they cannot export (or import needed parts) for a substantial period of time due to a tightly closed border, the election will come and go and then there will be no will to fund this charade, leaving Mexico to sort out what to do with the thousands of stranded central Americans (and whoever else) on their side of the border. It should be easy enough as a military task to seal the border, using high surveillance away from major border crossing points. Anyone who did get across should be placed in maximum detention for a short period while military tribunals could be organized.

While the U.S. would be (and in my view always has been) justified in using extreme force against illegal immigrants, this situation ramps it up to a de facto invasion. Just because the invaders have no chance of success does not change the fact that they chose to invade a sovereign country. Imagine the response if thousands of Americans marched to the North Korean border demanding to be let in there.

I think the best course of action is firm, non-violent, enforcement of existing laws and any emergency regulations that the president declares to defend the border.

George Soros and the various leaders of the Democratic Party — if any proof can be found that they have aided and abetted this guerilla theater (that will take some older readers back), then they have probably committed treason or at the very least are guilty of a conspiracy to harm the people of the United States. Throw the book at them if there is proof (I have to laugh at some knob from the BBC saying the concern about Soros is “pantomime horse” material, what would he know, he should do some research about George Soros and his past activities and get a clue).

President Trump needs to do two things, I believe — communicate his concerns to the American people more directly, outlining some of the reasons why this is an emergency, and also, wake up Jeff Sessions or replace him. If this has been an act all along, it has gone too long now. The present state of affairs amounts to an undeclared civil war between two different visions of the future of the United States, one being a sovereign nation and republic, the other being a madhouse serving as an experimental laboratory for insane social and economic theories. Hopefully the 2018 mid-terms will give the verdict of the people and make a choice between those, although I am mystified why more than a handful would even consider the second choice.
