Loretta Lynch Calls Voter ID Laws Racist
Front Page ^ | October 23, 2018

Former Attorney General Loretta Lynch recently asserted that Voter ID laws are “designed” to “intimidate” and “scare people away from the [political] process.” Lynch's perspective—which represents that of the Democratic Party as a whole—s founded on the premise that the incidence of voter fraud is extremely rare, and that initiatives like Voter ID requirements, which have been put in place in 34 states, are unnecessary and constitute a form of vote suppression. A related argument holds that some demographic subgroups of the U.S. population—particularly nonwhite and low-income people—are considerably less likely to hold government-issued forms of identification than are their white, more affluent counterparts. Thus, say the critics, Voter ID laws discriminate against these subgroups and function as a modern-day equivalent of “poll taxes” that have the effect of disenfranchising certain groups.

The notion that voter fraud is an uncommon occurrence can be traced most significantly to Citizens Without Proof, a November 2006 report produced by the George Soros-funded Brennan Center for Justice, which stated that “fraud by individual voters is both irrational [because perpetrators risk penalties of five years in prison and a $10,000 fine] and extremely rare.”

You have a choice. You can either support voter fraud and rigged elections or else you are a racist.

It is that simple.

Is it racist to say that minorities can’t/won’t/don’t get IDs?

Who are these people and why are they “intimidated”?

It’s racist to say that blacks can’t figure out how to get an ID card.

If you need valid ID to fly on a plane, go into a federal building, rent a post office box, cash a check, open a bank account, even get a library card, why not the same to vote? If there is an instance TODAY where ID laws are racist, I’d sure like to see. Seems like most laws provided accommodation for the elderly, poor, infirmed, so they could get their ID and participate.

If Lynch said this, she admits she is corrupt and for voter fraud. There is absolutely nothing racist about asking for ID. We have to show ID at doctor’s offices, getting a library card, buying cigarettes, etc.

Amazing to me that libs continually sell minorities short when it comes to voter ID laws. They're saying up front that minorities are too stupid to comply.

"Dey be racesis because we simple black folks cain't be 'spected to unnastand whut an ID is and where to gits one".

There was a poll showing that more than 20% of people didn’t know that a driver’s license would work as voter ID. We in trubble.

Cuz everybody knows that black people are too stupid to have IDs even if they are free and hand delivered. Furthermore, the few that are smart enough to have one are too intimidated to vote because they are terrified somebody may find out they stole it. (Do I really need the /s tag, since this is what dems seem to believe)

But ID for a gun isn’t racist? ID for a beer isn’t racist? ID for an airport isn’t racist?

How is it that ONLY asking for ID for voting is racist?

I am so tired of hearing this utterly idiotic BS!!!!

You can’t even play Little League baseball without proving who you are and your age. . . then again, the Little League organization doesn’t like cheaters and they want to be fair to all the players and teams. . . unlike the Commie Rats.

Anyone else here remember Freedom Summer, in 1964?

In that summer, many young people, often college students, , went south and helped register black voters. This was before the voting rights act was passed.

They were helping overcome obstacles to help people register to vote back then.

Based on what happened then, imagine if people today, would help the allegedly uneducated or those who don’t know what to do, what if they helped them get the ID needed to vote?

And the side benefit would be, these people with no ID would now have an ID for all those other areas of life where an ID is needed.

Instead of filing lawsuits against voter ID laws, why aren’t they helping people get the required ID?
