Agreed. That’s why I’m guessing that they’ll head for California instead of Texas, that and the extra dangers in northeastern Mexico.
True, the "caravan" will not get in as a whole, as a unit. However the "caravan" will be partitioned into subsets of two and three, and each of those "caravans" will be allowed entry (just like last spring).
So what Pompeo is really saying is that the mob will not enter, only its component parts.
This is what happened last spring when we were all fed the baloney that the "caravan" was stopped. The truth is that all who reach the border will be allowed in, one way or the other. They will enter without force, and will find a Welcome Wagon by our bureaucrats who do the processing.

The key word is "illegally". If they step into our country & seek asylum, then we legally have to give them an asylum hearing. We catch & release them until they "show up" for their hearing - years down the road. Thus the term catch & release. This is how the law works now, so it would be "legal". There currently is a backlog of at least 500,000 asylum cases.

This is how the Left works: use our laws against us. Laws which were intended to aid legitimate refugees, these laws are now used jiu-jitsu style to overwhelm us and strangle the system and destroy it through intractable bureaucratic requirements unable to handle these massive numbers.

My beloved feels that our wonderful Texas Governor is the reason the invaders will head towards California. They’re pretty sure the California Governor will let them in without any problem.
It’ll be like in the days when Governor Bush allowed a woman to be starved to death. The Feds didn’t dare stop the State from doing what the State legally allowed. I think California is in that mindset...I mean, would the Feds actually overstep the State to keep the invaders out?
Me? I’m hoping like deuce that the Feds shut down the border in California. Make all the business trucks head to other borders and close them if the invaders head there. Make the invaders go nuts while keeping them out.
