My assumption is the California Governor will be leading the pack of liberals trying to stop Pres Trump’s federal actions.
Rotting from the head down, right? And California is a pretty big fish.
You’d think that somewhere in that state, aside from the Red (Republican enclaves) areas, people in that state would literally be in a true panic. Right?

Totally forgot about that! And that would explain something I saw in one of his Cabinet meetings. He was speaking about going into California and clearing the forests of the deadwood. He said that he was tired of billions after billions being spent because of something that didn’t have to exist.
It would be so great if he did get the forest deadwood cleared! Odds are there are also Marijuana set-ups still out there in those forests, so I hope the guys and gals who do the forest clearing are protected.
You’d think by now that the Californians would be just plain ticked off at the liberal environmental nuts. Between loss of human life, animal life, and general economic ruin that they should be having fits at groups like the Sierra Club.
This is what I would suggest, as part of the emergency powers available —
(a) suspend the asylum process altogether (no more refugees to be granted asylum under catch and release)
(b) any asylum seekers from date onward to be returned to point of origin
(c) give more resources to asylum hearing courts already in existence to speed up processing of (reportedly) half million backlogged cases
(d) anyone who fails to show for asylum hearing automatically subject to deportation
and keep this in effect until backlog is reduced to zero. (you’ll probably end up with 50,000 granted residence, 200,000 denied and deported, 250,000 no shows subject to deportation, of whom maybe 240,000 never found unfortunately, but that was a mistake of previous administrations not this one).
Trump already has the image of a tough guy with no compassion for refugees so why not at least get something of value out of that? There’s not much point in having that image but then going soft and squishy, and I think most of us know that of these refugees, 99% are economic opportunists seeking to jump the queue of legal immigration, while the other 1% are in trouble with their home governments for left-wing agitation against them.
I would exempt middle-class Venezuelans seeking to get out of that communist madhouse.
Entry is through federal authority, the state can’t do anything until after they have been processed by the federal government.
What would Mexico do? Declare War? Not bloody likely.

Trump knows more ways to skin a cat than anyone in recent times. It’s not an act of war if Mexico allows it.

Now that the mask has been torn off the face of fascism things are going to step up.
There has been great progress in the last two years. With more Republicans in the Congress even more will be made.
