Pipe bombs were sent to several prominent Democrats, including former President Barack Obama and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, setting off an intense investigation on Wednesday into whether figures vilified by the right were being targeted.
From Washington to New York to Florida, where a congresswoman who is the former chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee has her office, the authorities intercepted a wave of crudely built devices that were contained in manila envelopes.
Some bomb technicians who studied photos of the device that circulated on social media suggested that the bomb sent to CNN had hallmarks of fake explosives — the kind more typically depicted on television and in movies, rather than devices capable of detonating.

Here's hoping they are fake "bombs" and they can track them to some leftists. They will let the guy go, though, since he will show them the leftist 'get out of jail free' card - "It was just a joke that went wrong. I made a mistake, so can I go home in my mommy's basement"? Gee, thanks!

Please don’t misunderstand. I meant no disrespect. My mother (85) and her husband (92) were very upset by these bombs and won’t be going far from home until this nonsense is sorted out. And she only gets her news from liberal media sites so I know this is going to harm her normal daily routine.

During the first NYC press conference, Gov. Cuomo jumped in to say he, too, received a bomb at his Manhattan office. Later, Cuomo’s name was removed from the CNN bomb recipient graphic, and no more mention of Cuomo. What is that about?
Funny how they were sent to a variety to ensure they got the most publicity possible....
