A federal judge on Wednesday ordered Georgia election officials to stop summarily tossing absentee ballots because of mismatched signatures, delivering a crucial win to voting-rights advocates — and to Democratic gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams — less than two weeks before Election Day.

Another implied right, with the specific purpose of helping protect fraud and phonies.
Essentially she is dismissing probable identity theft.
I wonder if someone faked her signature it would be dismissed.
How exactly does dismissing possible fraud HELP “voters rights”??

“So I’m voting any way I can, and the only way I can is by absentee ballot.”

I don’t blame you, but you should assume that there’s only about a 50% chance your vote will be counted. Seriously. They were discarding Absentee ballots from the military back in the Bush-Gore days. An envelope with a return address and postmark from Israel ... hmmmm.

People in The Women’s League Of Voters are extremely involved in Elections Boards. Extremely. They’re over-the-top liberal. Just sayin’.

I don’t live in Georgia, but I would support this being done if it was ordered for New York State, even if it would cause a delay. When we vote, we have to sign our name as it appears beneath a facsimile of our previous signature. I don’t know who determines if the signatures don’t match...if it’s done at the time the vote is cast, or if someone later goes through the lists, and checks them. Is there a way that a computer can be fed these sheets, and kick out the ones that don’t match? In this day and age, there should be.

Stacey Abrams has a history of dodgy voter registrations.

There are still 23,000 voter registrations submitted by her New Georgia Project in 2014 on the pending voter list for Georgia.

This means that the voter registration document had problems. Most common in the last four of SSN doesn’t match.

To register to vote in Georgia, you can either use the last four of your SSN or your driver’s license number. If these don’t match existing records, your registration goes to “pending” status until you either fix it, or actually show up at the polls and correct the issue.

23,000 of Abram’s registration have not fixed their paperwork in four years! These are fake registrations, obviously,

The absentee ballots that Abram’s campaign “helps” voters to fill out are probably just as fake.

This is going to be good. I’ll wait the extra 7-10 days for election certification to find the results of this voter contact directive!

Another Democrat-appointed judge, it’s every single time.

Trump and McConnell need to clean this rot. Hopefully the GOP gains Senate seats next month, making Trump’s judges even easier to confirm.

"I’m with you on that. I feel it’s my duty as a citizen to physically go to the polls..."

Well, if you had to physically go to the polling place that my wife and I would have to go to, you might change your mind...

You would be safer on the streets of South Chicago at 2AM or the Jihad-training city in upstate NY...

At least the early voting location is located in a civilized area near a police station...

Me neither. I despise alternate voting. I’m ok with absentee if there is a reason. Early voting, mail, online. No way.

If you can’t haul your carcass over to the polls on voting day, your opinion does not count. Voting is an awesome responsibility and should include some level of difficulty

Very interesting! Though it’s a PITA as far as certifying the election results.

Brian Kemp, the current Secretary of State and Abram’s opponent in the governor’s race, had no comment about the ruling.

He was one of the defendants in Abram’s federal suit.

I’m sure he will have the last laugh, ha ha!

Did these voters forget to get their X witnessed? Cause they should have known to do that.

Well, I can only do whatever I can do. If they discard it, that’s that.

This judge may have unintentionally struck a blow for law and order.

After all of this is said and done, there’s going to be more proof of voter fraud than the Trump Commission could ever hope to find.

PDJT will be vindicated as to his claims about voter fraud!

Where was this ruling when Al Gore's lawyers were getting all the military ballots thrown out for lack of a post mark?

However, at 1st glance it does seem reasonable to allow the voter to challenge that they submitted it properly. Let the voter come in person with proper ID.

By “summarily tossing,” the WaPo means enforcing Georgia’s election law regarding absentees.
