New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo is holding onto a 22-point lead over Republican Marc Molinaro as the 2018 race for governor enters its final five weeks, according to a new poll made public Monday.
Cuomo, a two-term Democrat, leads Molinaro, the Dutchess County executive, 50-28 percent, according to the Siena College poll of likely voters.
The governor also leads by wide margins over four other third-party candidates who will appear on the Nov. 6 ballot, the poll found. A combined 14 percent of likely voters said they will vote for one of the third-party candidates.

I find it hard to believe that cuomo has that much support in NYS. Everyone I know hates him, including democrats.
There are several contenders for governor this year, all better than cuomo, and that’s not saying much.
Molinaro is a moderate, pro-abortion Republican whom cuomo is painting as a far right extremist conservative.

Molinaro is your typical spineless, feckless GOPe candidate from NY...there were so many ways he could’ve hit cuomo and weakened him- but he didn’t...i attended a meeting with a local Tea Party Chapter where we sat down with Molinaro over the summer...i was ready to fight for the guy in the streets then he opened his mouth- he’s a freaking coward...

Cuomo is so well known for his corruption. I hear NYCers are angry with him for his waste of $60 million dollars for infrastructure work on the subway that resulted in only some walls getting re-tiled.

I am really torn over who to vote for.
The only candidate I consider worth anything is Sharpe. I like his website.
Molinaro’s website was squishy and weak. He’s going to *clear out corruption in Albany*.

I know the dangers of splitting the vote, but honestly, I’d feel like I was wasting my vote to vote for Molinaro and watch him go down in flames.
I might as well use my throw away vote for governor on someone I actually support as opposed to the lesser of two evils.
I was planning on voting for Molinaro, but if he’s pro-abortion, I don’t think I can do that. I’ve looked at the Libertarian candidate, Larry Sharpe, and may end up voting for him. I don’t usually split my vote, but will have to check Sharpe out further.

I recently saw a commercial on Molinaro which turned me against him. He stands for the illegals.

Yep...There are more democRATS in NYC than there are the rest of us in Upstate and Western NY.
We all despise Cuomo, but it’s just not possible to get rid of him barring a huge scandal that has him red-handed.
His father lost in 1994 because of his insistence in keeping the 55 mph speed limit when the rest of the country was raising them back to 65 and 70.
