Well, NJ is a special situation.. So it going GOP isn’t a panic situation...

You have a D who is clouded in corruption and allegations of pedophilia.... And a rich guy self funding his own campaign against him.

Sadly if the GOP had fought hard here in the upper Midwest I believe they would have gained at least 2 senate seats here.

Anyway, I do believe the GOP will do very well (and always have) particularly in the Senate... but the NJ race wouldn’t be a reason to Panic.... in and of itself. Its certainly an outlier due to the candidates.

My bet is either they didn’t have enough evidence, or, like his own lawyers said in their filing, is that a federal crime?

I know in the the UK they made that if you are a UK Citizen and have sex with someone underage, even if you are in a country that it is not illegal, you are still commiting a crime under UK law. I do not know if such regulations exist for US citizens.

I thought that Hillary campaigning for him was the “kiss of death.”

Praying for a Menendez defeat, and that McCann upsets Gottheimerin my NJ 5th Congressional district. The district is R+3 so the Democrat is by no means a shoo-in.

That it is even close shows just how awful Democrat voters are. Menendez is a crook and a pervert. How could anyone vote for him? For too many people, it’s all about the “free” stuff. Sad.

Could be a red wave, winning 5-7 Senate seats.

If Republicans pick up that seat, a Senate majority would be out of reach for the Democrats

Only in their drunken fantasy!

If the Republicans win this seat we could be talking about a 60 seat advantage!

I DON’T LIKE ‘TOSS UPS’. They have a tendency to produce ‘ballots being found in car trunks’.

Isn’t it funny how that happens. Usually from a district that had a 120% voter turnout...

Naturally the media shill avoided mentioning the name of Menendez' opponent in that opening excerpt.

A senate majority would be out of reach for many elections to come.

The inner city voter fraud may be enough to drag Menendez across the finish line. I’m seeing lots of anti-Menendez ads here in NJ pointing out corruption and underage prostitution.

Even if Menendez pulls it out, it means the Dims are pumping $$ into NJ that could’ve been directed elsewhere.

Very likely within reach in 2020 when we can pitch Doug Jones to the curb

Can’t be.

THis reminds me somwwhat of the Kennedy/Nixon election. It think a lot of Democrats went into the booth expecting to vote for Nixon rather than the liberal Kennedy.

Once they got in, I think their conscience got to them.

I think it might happen here too, although in the opposite way.

Democrats and INdependents will go in, to re-elect Menedez, then pause and think about the guy’s smirky snobbishness.

The bottom line, the guy had sex with underaged hookers. Everyone knows this...everyone. His opponent is a good and descent man.

I think Menendez loses...

I kick up my predictions now to we increase our Senate 4 to 5 seats, giving us 55 to 56.

It looks like we’ll hold the House by a minimum of 4 seats.

So the ads pointing out that NJ voters are going to reelect a Cuban Jared Fogle might have actually worked?

You have to wonder why the Dem. machine didn’t put up a credible primary opponent for a seat that should have been in the bag.

Definite Senate wave. That’s a mix of red states and good candidates where opportunities lie. House will not see a gain in seats. Barring a wildly good scenario.
