Some time back a poster made the point that Sessions worships the FBI and was the reason he took the job - and given that perspective would do anything to protect his precious FBI. Rationalization is the second strongest human drive - how does he do it? Simple he believes (through the miracle of rationalization) apparently that the FBI can do no wrong and therefore any charges must be in error.
You would almost think that Barack Obama still was POTUS and running the DOJ.
He can’t interfere with himself. Mueller is not independent, he cannot file charges against the president, the president can fire the Attorney General, the president can fire Mueller, the president can pardon anybody Mueller goes after, probably including himself. Trump should go ahead and declassify fisa and just put the facts out for the American people to decide
Consider just one of many possible reasons: that the targets of investigation may include current members of Congress. Perhaps even some who serve on these very committees...

Mueller’s real task is not the absurd Russian collusion. Mueller’s job is to block investigation of the corruption of the FBI and DNC to interfere in the 2016 election.
