Guess who's speaking out against caravan border-jumpers
American Thinker ^ | October 26,2018 | Monica Showalter

Latinos and Hispanics legally here in the U.S. are speaking out against the caravan heading north from Honduras to the U.S.

That was the report from Univision, which is hardly a conservative news site.

According to the Daily Caller, they're saying things like this:

"How is it possible that a caravan from Central America is on it's [sic] way to the U.S. and the people are speaking the way they're speaking, demanding to get in[?] No sir, this isn't their country and they need to respect it," one man said.

Another woman told Megid, "[L]ike the president says, they can come here, but they need to come here legally like the rest of us."

Megid also spoke with a Honduran woman who says she came to the U.S. in the last caravan from Central America. "It's not right that so many people are heading to the U.S. in this Honduran caravan," she said.

It squares with what a lot of Latinos and Hispanics are thinking, at least the ones I know.

Unlike the black community, they aren't a near-monolith on the political front. Trump got a healthy 29% of their vote, in what USA Today called "another election surprise," which suggests unfamiliarity with Latinos, who, by the way, hate being called that. (Like Italian-Americans and Irish-Americans, they're happy to just be called by their country of origin as a shorthand even though they are Americans – e.g., Venezuelans, Cubans, Mexicans.)

There are plenty of conservative and libertarian Latinos, too. Off the top of my head, one of the most interesting, Lydia Ortega, runs the San Jose State University economics department and ran for California's lieutenant governor's slot. I voted for her.

When Trump ordered more troops to the border and order not to fight, that did it for me. Looks like we the people will have to take arms and do what our Government won’t. It is time for the Minute Men again.

Pompeo said none will be allowed to come in illegally. It’s parsing, in other words they will be processed and allowed in folks. That is what it means. The 800 number was a huge tell. The invading horde is getting in and coming in to Texas.

I was recently polled on the issue but, what do I know? I’m one of those, “white” Hispanics.

It is time for the Minute Men again.

I know of 24 of my ancestral relatives who fought in the Revolution. Many were Marblehead seamen. My GGGGgrandfather, a Sea Captain, was on his ship in Boston Harbor when tea was dumped.

My great grandfather died from wounds received at the Battle of Shiloh in Tennessee (Civil War).

I am now an octogenarian. Where do I sign up to help defend our southern border?

The southern border thing will be a 'skirmish'. If things in this country do not turn around soon, i.e. if they (Dims, radical left) prevail against trump, the result will be Revolutionary War II (not a civil war).

That’s what happened last year. All except one were allowed in. Some were granted asylum while the rest were sent to immigration detention centers or placed in the custody of the Office of Refugee Resettlement.

Some of them are probably aware that we’re not ready to have over a billion people suddenly move in from various southern parts of the planet.

Anyone who hasn't read The Camp of the Saints needs to get a copy now. As Churchill said: "Now this is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning."

I and my family immigrated to Australia back in the 60s. I am all for the proper process of immigration. In other words you apply from the country you live in and get accepted or not. Our latest conservative government has said if you come here illegally and even if you qualify you will not be settled here as most have come through other counties to get here. So they are resettled somewhere else after a similar wait that they would have had if they applied applied from home or they can choose to go home

My guess is even illegals don’t like them much. Do illegal squatters welcome the entry of other illegal squatters onto their turf? No. Large increases in the labor supply depress wages. Illegals came to America to get away from their compatriots. Why would they want to recreate their home countries in a foreign land? They’d have been better off staying home.

People who say immigrants should welcome other immigrants are speaking before they engage their brains. How many invited party guests welcome party crashers? Do even party crashers welcome more party crashers? Just how much room, liquor and food is there at the party?

Yep 15-20,000 Central American invaders will be allowed into Texas and once Texas is turned this country is finished. If Texas wants to survive they should excersize thier option declare their independence NOW.

Why in the world, do we immigrants from any country to VALIDATE our feelings on immigration?

My husband says the other day “even Mexicans (that came legally) don’t like Illegal immigration”So the eff what?!

WHY do we need Mexican immigrants to agree? This in no way validates the way we should treat invaders...because Im whIte....my opinion is invalid? I THINK NOT

Especially when they wave the Honduran flag and then burn tires in front of the U. S. Embassy.

Only idiots like John Kasich support that stupid position of taking them in with open arms. Man the guy has lost his ever loving mind.
