The guy was living out of a van and had apparently gotten by on his looks for most of his life. He’s in his 50’s and has a checkered past and checkered employment history. The Trump economy has been a godsend for his age cohort along with everyone else, but disastrous decisions are disastrous decisions. His position was desperate and I could see him being vulnerable to all sorts of leverage. Then there is the steroid abuse issue.
There has been plenty of warning, the guy has made plenty of noise. Twitter knew all about him and ignored the threats he made against that FOX Democratic contributor. The police knew all about him. Plenty of people knew about this guy. He would be an easy target for some sort of malicious influence campaign.
