When a Republican politician tells the crowd, “Vote for ME, not that other guy!” he is being divisive. When a Democrat similarly exhorts a crowd he is being unifying. Of course.
Ryan seems to think it is still possible to win by taking the high road. Perhaps it would be, in an unbiased media landscape. Today, being a gentleman just gets you defeated at the polls.
Lordy he is so Catholic Left
I consider him a lying twerp tht is also ching to be ROmneys best butt buddy again! (Yes, I think Ryan is yet another queer politician!)
He’s like a bad case of lip herpes that shows up right before the big date (or Prom).
I embrace tribal identity. “Tribal” is given a negative connotation lately. It’s probably a synonym of “culture”. The world has many cultures those in a given culture don’t want it split apart by invaders from other cultures. Nothing at all wrong with that.
The left rallies all the time. Whatever Ryan and the rest of the pre-Trump GOP were doing to unite the base (forget the country, the Democrats already hate the GOP base) was not getting done. Thanks to Trump, the base knows the strength it possesses and can see the traction the Republicans have when they are engaged. If the mid-terms are anything like Trumps rallies, the Democrats are in for Rude Awakening 2.0.
Paul Ryan, go ^%”&&%=” yourself.
” I think we as leaders..”
Thanks Paul but I can find the toilet paper on my own.
Perfect idiot foil for Deface the Nation.
Winning too much. Im not yet familiar with that. Lets win some more so we can note its adverse effects.
If you turn your other cheek a fanatical left wing nut will be happy to slap that cheek, too.
You have that right.
I am an independent because the GOP is too squishy.
Most of the elected GOP side with illegal aliens and their employers against the citizens and the rule of law.
They participated in the Kenyanesian Usurpation in violation of the Constitution.
Read my lips...folks...No one either listens, heeds or pays attention to “Failure, Paul Ryan!!! Case closed!!!
When folks like Ryan talk, the more Im convinced that leaders among his party peers know that they are Democrats at heart but would be second-tier helpers in their preferred club. So they come over and talk a good game in the R-Party until they get the reins and...resume their accustomed role as second-tier helpers to their D-Party superiors in DC.
Youre gone Ryan. Now slink away silently.
Why does everyone want everyone in the USA to unite? (Ryan is a clown and idiot and I’m so glad he is on his way out of office, wish he was gonna be out of publicfor good too).
I heard a caller on that washington morning C-span show recently - he explained it well, if the country were truly united it would be one party/power rule.
Our founders set us up to have adversarily form of government on purpose so we would never have a king or dictator or one party rule.
Oh, I can’t wait to hear Lou Dobbs on Monday. He seethes when it comes to Ryan. This is gonna be good.
Amen. Trump proved it. They ALL closed ranks together once he won the nomination. THEN it was Principle over Party! and Vote your conscience!
Rules of the game. General SOBs get lots of press notice, a surprising amount of it supportive.
Getting a fetch upside the head is likely to get a supplementary kick in the ribs or the head from the press.
