The firm favourite appears to be from Merkels own Christian Democrats Party (CDU) its secretary-general Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer.
Kramp-Karrenbauer has been a close ally of her embattled leader, who faced a disastrous result at the ballot box recently.
Today, CDU sources said CDU Kramp-Karrenbauer she will put herself forward for the top job at the partys conference in Hamburg in December.
Born in 1962, Merkels potential successor has been dubbed AKK in the German media and became the first woman ever to govern the German state of Saarland.
Fer sure
Do they call her....Krampus?
You have a good understanding of the system.
First thing that stands out to me is ‘Monthly Dues” to remain a voting member of the party. The terms Plutocracy or Kleptocracy come to mind. Eventually, someone will make the point that one should remain an eligible voter, regardless of ability to keep on paying.
Repeal XIX
This dues thing...gives you the right to attend local party meetings. So you walk into pub ‘x’ once a month...chat with like minded folks, sip a beer, and once in a while....a vote comes up. That local rep goes to the state meeting, and has a say there. If you aren’t happy, then flip your party. I doubt if 2 percent of the poulation plays this out as party members. The rest just wait for the main elections to have their say.
My take is this is all geared to prevent another Hitler creation. At least they believe this.
Aaaaargh
Q: Does this one have any kids? Seems to me like you can’t run an EU ****hole if you’ve got rugrats.
Well, it does mean that eventually men will be in charge again.
Unfortunately, it will be non-Christian men. In other words, Muslims.
Violent men from a violent culture that subjugates women. A culture that considers it a manner of honor to kill a woman that disobeys her husband or father.
But this is okay because all cultures a equal and worthy of respect.

Rancid Butch Alert!
What is it?
An Annegret.
The normal length of Parliament is 4 years, early elections occur if the government is voted down. The last time there was an early election was 2005.
They use mixed-member proportional representation. Meaning they have districts like us where the guy with the most votes wins but you also vote for a party list. Extra members are added based on the party list vote to make it so the percentage of the vote each party gets is roughly equivalent to the total % of members they get to have.
I think mixed-member proportional representation sucks balls.
