The more evil elements of Islam are calling for this so that their current gains in Syria can be protected from the Russians rolling them back.
You want stability in Syria? Get Assad control back over the country. The more vicious manifestations of Islam will be repressed and the remaining Christians will be left alone.
I don’t see any better realistic alternatives. Anyone?
