Define your strategy, establish your command & control, position your assets, and always factor in the potential for unexpected contingencies. All this takes precious time.

There have been a few extreme comments, I agree with you on that point.
However, its worth noting that its the Left that desperatly wants to see violence so they can exploit the optics. That is the cornerstone of this entire spectacle, in much the same way that they push the police to overreact in their domestic “disturbances”. They are instigators and agent provocateurs who want violence.
With respect to making preparations, the organizers of the caravan are accelerating their efforts to move people north. FYI...
