Pro-Life Montana Senate Candidate Matt Rosendale Catches Pro-Abortion Jon Tester in New Poll
LIFE NEWS ^ | October 24, 2018 | Jason Hopkins

A poll shows Montana Democratic Sen. Jon Tester barely leading his Republican challenger, indicating the seat might be within reach for the GOP.

A survey conducted by Montana State University and the Montana Television Network shows Tester beating state auditor Matt Rosendale, his Republican opponent, by 3 percentage points. The poll — released Monday — shows Tester pulling in 46 percent of registered voters to Rosendale’s 43 percent. Over 6 percent of respondents said they are still undecided.

The survey suggests a neck-and-neck race just two weeks ahead of Election Day.

“In just 19 days, the people of this incredible state are going to send Matt Rosendale to the Senate to protect your jobs and your second amendment,” President Donald Trump said at a rally in Missoula, Montana, on Friday.

The rally — meant to bolster support for Rosendale and other statewide Republican candidates — was Trump’s third stop in Montana this election cycle, according to the Missoulian. The president’s involvement in the close election battle could prove critical. He won Montana in the 2016 election by over 20 percent and still remains popular among residents.

For Trump, Tester’s bid for a third term appears to be more personal than Senate elections elsewhere in the country. The president holds the Montana Democrat responsible for ruining Adm. Ronny Jackson’s nomination to lead the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). Jackson, a former physician to the president, initially was in the running to head the VA, but withdrew in April after Tester presented unverified accusations that he was once drunk on duty and was loose with medication prescriptions.

Following Jackson’s withdrawal, Trump called for Tester to resign.

Inside Elections rates the race as “tilt Democratic” and Sabato’s Crystal Ball rates it as “leans D.” However, Inside Elections has called the race a “toss-up.”

Tester has an uncanny resemblance to Harvey Weinstein.

If the poll says tied, I’m inclined to believe the Republican will win.

Anyone who could mold their conscience to acquiesce to the killing of preborn human life is capable of any vile action. It is wise never ever to trust such an individual in any matter of importance and to engage such a person on the most superficial of levels and then only when absolutely necessary.

“registered voters.”

Yeah, noticed that...it is bright orange, flashing neon.

You do registered voters when you’re 6 months out, but less than 2 weeks out you MUST do likely voters...or there’s something rotten in Denmark.

I'll be disappointed if the Republican doesn't win this seat in Montana.

I think his vote against Kavanaugh will really come back to haunt him.

If i were his opponent, I would hammer him over the head with this issue in the last week.

Throwing in your lot with misandrist, shrewish feminist lunatics is not a winning message in a general election.

Are there that many West Coast liberal transplants in Bozeman, Missoula, and Billings that Tester is even in this thing?

“What is the matter with Montana?”

It’s still the 1970s there.

The people in the state still live in relative broad quarters, not cheek to jowl with foreign invaders, the over-regulation of commerce like in California doesn’t exist, and the outlook is generally a live and let live libertarianism.

It’s a long way to any Rat held stronghold like Seattle or San Francisco. Most of the bad stuff is just on TV. I-90 still has 80 MPH speed limits.

Only bad thing is housing prices in Bozeman and Whitefish.

Because that’s where the idiot California refugees move to. And keep voting for their favorite Rat, who doesn’t seem “too extreme” - which is what Tester tries to portray himself as.

Don’t worry though. Most are waking up. That’s why Rosendale is catching up, and Gianforte is a lock.

What, indeed! I have no idea how a Dim can even be competitive, there...it should be like a Republican running in the Bronx! ;)

Bozeman = Old ranching families, MSU students, California transplants

Billings = Old ranching families, railroad and refinery workers, oilfield support operations

Missoula = Just another mountain hippie college town

Thus the support for Tester’s squeegee outlook
