Trump to Act on Border Tuesday, Radical Left Readies Lawsuits
The New American ^ | 29 October 2018 | R. Cort Kirkwood

Posted on 10/29/2018 2:43:08 PM PDT by detective

Tuesday is the day President Trump will announce his plan to stop the migrant invasion force heading north through Mexico toward the U.S. border.

According to the Washington Post, the officials are still nailing down the details.

But others are working on plans, too. Leftists are gearing up, as The New American reported last week, to file border-busting lawsuits that will stop the president from deporting the illegal aliens.

Rather than claim the president doesn’t have the authority to declare some immigrants ineligible, the anti-American legal front will claim the migrants are seeking asylum and have a right to apply for it. That would tie up their deportation in the court system.

They offered them asylum which was declined.

That means they are ineligible to claim asylum from the US.

It also means the UN can stuff themselves when they try to force us to take them.

We have a President who knows how to win.

Give each refugee a number, tell them at the moment the US of A isn’t taking hiring but if an opening appears we’ll call them. Now go home and don’t come back.

I’d guess carfuls of the “caravan” have already taken rides north and seeping or close to seeping into the USA. they would be smart to splinter off and find ways in if they truly want to get here.

Also hundreds are still coming not even including the “caravan”, so whatever Trump does needs to address all current illegally crossing not just “caravan’.

I agree , Trump needs to state Mexico offered assylum which they rejected so no assylum seekers allowed.

There is no other lawful allowance i know of for illegals to enter, so zero should be able to cross into USA. Praying Trump stands strong and has wisdom from God and good council and able to block all efforts by the pro-illegal/anti-USA US citizens.

Attempting to interfere with US forces is sedition, and the proper and best response will be execution. Thanks detective.

It is my opinion that the courts have no say on the matter.

The President of the United States has the authority to use the military to defend our nation’s borders.

Congress, not the courts, is the only check on this authority (by way of impeachment).

I think President Trump has been playing “rope a dope” with the courts by quietly abiding by the various decisions with out much of a fight. He (again in my opinon) was doing this until the time was right to put the court back in their place.

With just days before the mid-term and with the majority of the American people supporting him I believe he could choose to ignore any court ruling demanding he allows the invaders into our nation.

We are indeed living in interesting times.

“That would tie up their deportation in the court system.”...………

I thought they had to cross the border first. To me, a closed border means NOBODY enters.

I think President Trump has short circuited the phony asylum claim rise by pressuring Mexico to uphold its Refugee obligations under international law and offer asylum to those passing through its borders

Under international law, refugees are granted asylum in the country next to the country they are fleeing. From there , they can apply for asylum in other countries, but other countries have no obligation to accept them

Mexico has offered asylum and the “Refugees “ have turned down this offer.

They now have no standing to claim lawful refugee status at the US border

What they can do is go back to Southern Mexico and occupy refugee camps in return for providing labor for Mexican infrastructure development projects

From camps in Southern Mexico they can apply to for American Refugee status and petition for refugee visas

This is the pros we President Trump and Sec of State Pompeo are referring to when they speak about legally entering the US

You can be pretty certain President Trump will be very diligent in following the law and repatriating the caravaners to their refugee camps in Southern Mexico so they can work the jobs Mexicans don’t want to work in return for their Refugee Camp room and board

They do say they want jobs, after all

Trump is going to have to ignore these injunctions and tell the federal activist judges that he will see them at the Supremes.

The judges need to be told they have no standing. We knew the left would insist these people be let in.

It is time for an Executive Order sealing the border for 90 days to all but valid visa holders and American citizens needing to travel. Another EO to end “catch and release” and replace it with “catch and return.” By the end of 90 days that should be in place. Provide bonafide refugees with a means of applying for refugee status at US embassies and consulates in foreign lands. But not at our border. Mr. President, please!!

These people have the government they wanted. They believed all the demagogues who promised to soak the rich and give them free stuff, and what they got was poverty and death. Now they want to come to the US and vote for the same kind of socialist liars they have in their home countries. Yes, they are that ignorant.

Are they not required to apply for asylum at an embassy in the first contiguous nation?

The very fact that the Dems are fixin’ to sue on behalf of illegal immigration, and to keep President Trump from defending the nation, is gonna sink a lot of Dems campaigns.

Current immigration law says: "Section 212(f), states: “Whenever the President finds that the entry of any aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, he may by proclamation, and for such period as he shall deem necessary, suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or nonimmigrants, or impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions he may deem to be appropriate.”

Looks unambiguous to me.

Trump needs to rally the country big time against the invaders. And he may have to defy a few district courts until the Supreme Court rules. It’s all over if he does neither

It looks unambiguous but like so many laws there are other laws that conflict with it. Specifically in this case asylum laws. It won’t take more than a day for the leftist lawyers and no borders folks to find a judge who will issue a nationwide injunction. In fact they will probably find several such district court judges in different circuits to issue injunctions each of which would have to be litigated up through the appelat courts and then onto the supreme court. Trump would likely win in the end but in the meantime we would have years of caravans heading this way. We are setting up for a constitutional crisis and grounds for impeachment.

It is obvious at this point that we have an out of control and partisan judiciary. This is the time to confront that problem and for the president to exercise his executive power and tell rebellious judges that there is a reason the founders didn’t actually give them any real power other than moral power which they have forfeited.
