Good point. When I said they have abandoned being citizens, I meant in their capacity and responsibility of being citizens and performing civic duty. Latinos are emotional people, and will wave their country's flag as part of a tribal identity.

The average latino has no idea about responsibility of social contracts to maintain a country. From their perspective, rich people take care of that.
