I find people dressed up as pregnant nuns to be offensive...yea yea, I get it, nuns are supposed to be celibate but this one did the deed it's funny ha ha ha.

On a similar note, someone on another thread mentioned seeing a guy dressed as a Buddhist monk carrying a can (empty) of gasoline as a prop. Offensive to some no doubt, but funny.

Buddhist monk with gasoline can? Kinda dated, you know like Saigon 1963, Madame Nhu calls it “monk barbecue”, Diem overthrown (by us), America drawn into the Vietnam war, etc.

It probably makes me a bad person, but I chuckled at your post.

The issue here is around having some adult level of understanding on these things. Like I said, I'd give a rock to the pregnant nun, and probably also the monk - but I wouldn't lecture either of them. But I bet some loser Antifa-type would beat up the monk while dressed as a pregnant nun.

I may get flamed for this, but I also believe some level of understanding helps in this situation. Yea, of COURSE I "can" dress up as that Doctor with a gun and a stuffed lion p, i.e. that physician that shot a lion on safari and posted the pics on social media - it's a free country - and I'd likely annoy multiple snowflake types....but my own personal approach would be to, say, go as a less "offensive" Ketchup and Mustard bottle with Mrs. DoodleBob. Why? Because for at least ONE DAY I can tone it down. I don't see the "need" to instigate a political discussion on Oct 31. But that's me and your mileage may vary.
