He is expecting to take over the Judiciary Committee when Grassley steps down from that chore, but perhaps he has his sights set on a majority leader position in the future? The new Lindsey would be a great asset in that position.
Happy to see his early support for the President's EO and the clear sign that he understands that legislative action is the best way to make it stick.

More likely that he and Ace McCain were controlled by the same handler(s), who also control Chief “Justice” Roberts, the Fraud Obama family, and BJ’s wife.
Trump should definitely not issue an EO prohibiting birthright citizenship.
He should issue an EO enforcing the 14th Amendment, which outlaws birthright citizenship for illegal aliens.
He has to run for re-election in the same year as Trump.
He can’t run against Trump and he knows it.
Graham is still a Cheap Labor Express stooge.

I agree he may be blowing with the wind, and if he says and does what we need and what is right (instead of publicly coming out and opposing it) I can live with that!
There is great poltical value to be had in this fight even if the Judiciary overturns Trump’s EO

As PDJT says, one thing the Dems do well is stick together. We attack people on our own team if they are not pure enough for us, even when they are saying or doing something that we really want. Not a good way to end up with what we want.

It was a misinterpretation of the amendment all along and as proof the rest of the sections are clearly worded to apply to the abolition of slavery, not as an open door in perpetuity to any woman who can sneak their way across the border or on to the beach. The Supremes need to just rule on that, the end.
THIS is the Lindsay Graham from the Clinton impeachment days. He was FANTASTIC then! He went liberal and weird with McCain. McCain dies and we have Lindsay back again! Something VERY funky went on with the McCain power holding over him.
I still suspect Graham is auditioning for the AG opening, which will likely occur shortly after the election.
