“Finally, a president willing to take on this absurd policy of birthright citizenship. I’ve always supported comprehensive immigration reform – and at the same time – the elimination of birthright citizenship.”

Finally! Instead of trying to do some MASSIVE "comprehensive" reform all at once which is always doomed to fail, just fix the most egregious flaws in our immigration system.

This abuse is #1 on the "most stupid immigration policies" list.

Number 2 must be letting in anybody who sets foot on U.S. soil and screams "Asylum."

Number 3 must be catch and release.

What he means is he still supports amnesty.

Replace him or he will keep working for amnesty.

President Trump already stopped the ‘release’ part of ‘catch and release’. It wasn’t a law to begin with. From what I understand, birthright citzenship was only meant to give slaves rights. It was never meant for illegal immigrants or ambassadors. All that is necessary is to follow the constitution.
