I was a new lurker at that time and I read everything on Freerepublic. I felt I was a part of the March for Justice even though I was not there in person.

My only Freep. I moved from Alexandria, VA in 96 but it was worth it to return from Maine for this event. Stayed with an ex coworker.
My dem wife never knew why I returned. Glad to have met JIM Rob and other early FReepers there.

I, too, spoke with Joyce Smith at the MFJ. She was broadcast out of Houston as Rejoice.
What an appropriate name! Such an uplifting lady!

A magnificent event I brag about to my grandchildren frequently...
If the Republic is ever restored (and that is dubious at best) IMHO it will be one of the key events described in history books as leading to the restoration...

"Was going to post a picture of my “March For Justice” pin ..." I still have two March-For-Justice T-shirts and one of the cardboard signs... Two of my grandsons have laid claim to them in case (at 85) I unexpectedly assume ground temperature...
In addition, all of my grandchildren have ample guns & ammo that I have giving as birthday presents for many years...

I couldn’t make it but remember it. It was just a few days after I joined FR.

I was a lurker at the time so knew that it was supposed to be on C-SPAN, but when it was supposed to start, C-SPAN put on a re-run of a discussion with Madeleine Albright. I went outside and raked leaves for a while, then came back inside and found that they were showing it. Perhaps they got enough complaints. I can’t imagine there was much demand for hearing from the cleaning lady.

I'm pretty sure Bob Barr was there - you just jogged my memory. I don't think a lot of pols were there as remember, this was the final week of the campaign for the mid-terms so they needed to be in their districts campaigning.
Barr made quite a sacrifice to attend our event.
