It takes some serious brass ones to concoct things to congress and think there will be no consequences, but I think this guy got his sense of invulnerability bolstered by the tabloid cable news programs that repeatedly put him on the air and allowed him to say whatever he wanted to, not only without any check against false assertions, but likely encouraging it.
It does but these cretins have NEVER dealt with a President like Donald Trump before. They completely expected that if they kept piling on accusations that Trump would eventually pull the nomination or that Kavanaugh would pull himself. Any other Republican would have folded! Trump and Kavanaugh are both men!

Normally, I would agree with you, z3n.
However, in this case, the Republicans have not made anyone suffer any consequences of lying or manipulating the system. The CPL had nothing to fear.....
I’m not going to hold my breath waiting for any consequences to affect the CPL....
