Many fans tuned into the latest installment of This Is Us, titled "Kamsahamnida," on Tuesday night. The episode was packed with drama, as usual. Kate was helping Toby fight depression, Kevin decided to go to Vietnam to follow his dads story and Randall was running for office in a local election. Randall wasnt the only person trying to solicit votes in this episode, though.
One of the writers, Dan Fogelman, pointed out that they snuck in a crafty plug for liberal candidates and their agendas at the end of the episode. The end card or vanity card is becoming a popular tactic for Hollywood to even more directly insert politics into their shows. In the final moments of the episode, between the last scene and the credits, we see a card (pictured below) dedicated to the Tree of Life synagogue shooting victimswho, like the characters of This is Us, called Pittsburgh home.

NON print with end title:
My wife and adult son love the show, I can’t stand it.
that show is okay. most shows interject some liberal horsepoop , anyhow.
I have a pretty conservative couple as neighbors that speak highly of it also, I’m gonna have to ask if this changes their minds.
Nah. It supposedly a show where everyday folks like us can relate to the story lines. NOT! At least me anyway.
I like the show. I watched last night’s episode today and saw nothing that offended me. Anyone who saw otherwise is going out of his way to find something with which to be offended.
Don’t really watch much network tv anyway and this is a good example of why.
I loved loved loved the show last season
This season not so much.
thats what happens- someone goes out of their way to be offended. PS I like the show, too! Don’t care for Zoe much though.
Should have just stopped after our tv hometown of Pittsburgh.
We like it. But its pretty dark. I can ignore the crap for entertainment. Curious to see where the Nam storyline goes.
“Dont care for Zoe much though.”
I’m with you. She seems pretty shallow.
You mean I missed the show?? Oh no, the horror, how can I forgive myself??
Smart- aleck humanism.....devoid of faith, each with their boat-load of personal issues dealt with by neurotic mentalities. I learned to keep my mouth shut while family members watched it.
Husband and I never watch tv together not go to movies together. Though I did insist he go to see Gosnell with me.
Three humans born on the same day with a devoted, loving father makes for a great story. I love Jack and Dr. K. and Randalls birth father. Wonderful characters last season.
My wife watches it. Not sure what the interest is. To me its mote snowflake TV. I cant stand it.
The follow on show New Amsterdam is even worse.
Never heard of it.
