President Trump last spring pardoned Dinesh D’Souza, the conservative commentator and filmmaker who pleaded guilty in 2014 to making illegal campaign contributions.
D’Souza has been criticized even by fellow conservatives for his frequently racially-charged public output, such as his decision to criticize former president Barack Obama’s use of a selfie stick by tweeting, “You can take the boy out of the ghetto…” and his repeated claims that Obama’s policies were steered by his Kenyan father’s anti-colonialism.
While most of his output centered on critiques of liberalism, D’Souza’s long career as a pundit and writer has also led him to make controversial statements that affect the Jewish community:

Last spring, D’Souza retweeted a trailer for the movie ‘Death Of A Nation’ that included the offensive hashtag. He later claimed he hadn’t noticed it.
Just hours after the Pittsburgh synagogue shooting, President Trump approvingly retweeted D’Souza for mentioning that Abraham Lincoln was an “outsider” (presumably like Trump) who sent “Democrats berserk (like Trump thinks he has).

He said that Adolf Hitler wasn’t homophobic
D’Souza’s 2017 book “The Big Lie: Exposing the Nazi Roots of the American Left,” was criticized by historians for claiming that Democrats are the party of fascism and that the Nazi Party in Germany drew inspiration from the American Democratic Party. One of his key arguments is that the Nazis were on the left because Nazi is short in German for “National Socialist.”
D’Souza also has written that Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler “was NOT anti-gay,” arguing that Hitler had refused to purge gay members of the Brownshirt militia. According to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, around 100,000 men were arrested between 1933 and 1945 for violating Nazi anti-homosexuality...

I am well acquainted with Dinesh D’Souza’s work, and this was one of the most deliberately ignorant, malicious, political hatchet jobs which was only redeemed by the fact that this person is such an absolute nobody that all this article does is contribute to the hiss of the Goldstein inspired background “Two Minutes Hate” noise on the Left.

There is evidence that in pre-WWI Vienna while Hitler was a struggling and failing artist he supported himself as a “rent boy” meaning a male prostitute. There was a Viennese vice cop who said there was a file on Hitler. (Of course that file if it indeed existed didn’t survive the war.) Also there are some stories by his fellow WWI trench mates about his sexual proclivities not being inclined to the frauleins. Then there is the very close relationship with Rohm. Rohm became expendable for political reasons not moral reasons.

His close associate Ernst Rohm was a major poufta, and as head of party discipline and the SA, he recruited other pouftas. Then in 1934, when Hitler purged the SA, including Rohm, he claimed partial justification from the fact that there were a lot of homosexuals in it. But in fact, per Conrad Heiden, before then he was totally apathetic to the homosexual activity in the ranks. A man wrote to him, broken-hearted that his son had become a homo in the Nazi party, got a very callous response. Baron Von Ludendorf, when he complained about the ubiquitous homosexuality in the Nazi party, got a reply that was unprintable in Conrad Heiden’s book. Dinesh knew from whence he spoke. Besides, the article was supposed to be about Dinesh’s attitude towards Jews, and this appears to be nothing more than a cheap shot unrelated to that subject.
