Former President Barack Obama will appear in Gary on Sunday to rally support for early voting and Indiana Democratic Senator Joe Donnelly.
Donnelly, the incumbent and a Democrat, faces Republican challenger Mike Braun in Tuesday's election.
Obama will appear at the Genesis Convention Center in Gary. Doors will open at noon Central Time. Tickets are required for entry.

Turnout wont be that high. You have to factor in the number of murders they will have between now and election day. Oops I forgot dead Dems can still vote. Gary, Indiana last years murder capital of the United States. It has been number one a few times. Obama Should be proud.

I noticed he picked the bye-week for the Colts, in hopes of gaining a few more hundred at his little rally.
Obama won’t draw 6,000. He went to uber-Liberal SoCal a few weeks back, friendly territory, and the report turnout was 750. On. Saturday afternoon. The place seated 7,500. So the most recent sitting President - the most popular President ever, I’m told - filled fhe arena to 1/10th its total capacity.
Again, this was on a Saturday. When most people are off work. in Southern California.
Meanwhile, the hugely unpopular President Trump is drawing overflow crowds in Minnesota Illinois, Texas, Florida, etc.
As a campaigner, Obama is poison. This feels like Donnelley’s Hail Mary pass.
Trump is coming to Fort Wayne on Monday.
I actually went to craigslist for Northwest Indiana to see if there was an ad for attendees. His other one was giving out 15.00 a head. No ad, they better put one up soon if they want a crowd.

I think Hillary’s largest 2016 rally was a large concert near Temple University. I’m sure it translated into some Temple students voting twice (once in their home state and once in Penn). But still not the kind of motivation that Trump insoires at his rallies.
Perfect description of Gary, IN. It hasn’t changed since the 60’s. We lived in Hessville, I graduated HS in 66, and LEFT, never been back. My parents moved shortly after as the crime was moving their way.
