—— I know they lost the dry dock.——
How do you know?
Floating dry docks are designed to sink. Once the scuttle valves are closed it can likely be refloated

Ok, but what about the carrier. Did they actually lose it, or was it just gashed at the waterline, as I read?

Things really fell apart on them...the carrier has a 5-foot gash near the water line, and the deck has apparently also been pierced. That isn’t going to just buff out.
However, I must admit that I am very concerned that we’re falling behind the Russians...they now proved to the entire world that they have Transformers. Their carrier-containing dry dock transformed into a submarine in just a couple of minutes!!!
