Migrant caravan coordinator says demand for Mexico to provide buses has 'failed'
Fox News ^ | 01 NOV 2018 | Greg Norman

The leading migrant caravan trying to make its way to the United States border is admitting defeat after asking the Mexican government to provide dozens of buses to speed up the group's journey northward.

The setback comes days after caravan leaders asked for “safe and dignified” transport to Mexico City, a checkpoint along the way for a group that has been dwindling in size as members either apply for protected status in Mexico or drop out over fatigue exacerbated by the sweltering weather conditions they have been facing.

"The attempt to travel by bus failed," caravan coordinator Walter Cuello told the Associated Press Wednesday night.

It has been a tumultuous journey so far for the leading caravan, which is now estimated to contain around 4,000 people – down from a peak of more than 7,000.

The caravan crossed into Mexico from Guatemala around Oct. 19 and, at the start of this week, appeared to be pushing northward at a faster pace with the help of free rides being offered to them in trucks and other vehicles.

But the arduous nature of the trek – walking day by day to new towns and cities and sleeping on the streets – has been eating away at the migrants’ morale from the outset. The request for bus travel for all also indicates an increased sense of urgency amongst the caravan’s members to make it to the U.S. border – despite thousands of American troops awaiting them there and a steady drumbeat of warnings from President Trump and U.S. officials to turn around.

"Of the friends that I have been with, all want to go back," Hasiel Isamar Hernandez, a 28-year-old mother of three from Honduras, told the Associated Press days ago. The caravan originated in that country as many are trying to flee...

I think the liberals have realized that if the caravan shows up before the election, it’s going to be an election issue that weighs in favor of Republicans.

If they stop the caravan or arrive after the election, it won’t have the same weight. It becomes a Trump victory, but it might lessen it as a campaign issue.

In September I walked from Sarria to Santiago as part of the Camino de Santiago, 118 kilometers, but I know dozens of people who have walked the entire Camino Frances. One of the first things people thinking about walking the Camino ask about is how to train for the walk. They think that being able to walk 10 or 20 kilometers in a stretch will do it but it’s not the walking. It’s the walking day after day after day that wears you down.

Most of the people who started that caravan are at the point where every step is torture and it’s highly unlikely that they are as well fed and well equipped as the typical Camino walker to walk themselves into shape. If they can’t get access to transportation they will start dropping like flies, which doesn’t bode well for Mexico. So I wouldn’t be surprised if transportation magically appeared, if for no other reason than to keep Mexico from having to be stuck with thousands of people looking for a handout.

Come listen to a story ’bout a man named Ahmed
Poor Camel driver barely kept his family fed.
Then one day- he was shootin’ at some Jews
When up through the ground comes a bubblin’ ooze
Oil that is… Saudi soda.... Persian Perrier

Now the first thing ya know, Ahmed’s a millionaire
Kin folk said: Ahmed, Move away from there!
said: Californy is the place that you’d do fair
So the loaded up their camel and they moved to BelAir
Swimmin pools…movie stars…...Jews....

The Bel Airabs!

It’s always about ‘’demanding’’ with this garbage. They’re ‘’demanding’’ to be let into our country’’ demanding’’ free health care, free medical care’’. Arrogant beggars.

Griff Jenkins of Fox News broadcast a segment showing invaders bording a long row of busses somewhere in Southern Mexico. Which report is correct or is the ambiguity deliberate and they will suddenly show up at the border?

I hope they still try to make it in. I want to see the “Active Denial System” do its work. Maybe get them halfway across the Rio Grande..

Most will end up working in Mexico for a year til they can pay a coyotes to take them into the US...... After all even little kids interviewed in Mexican schools boast of their goals to go to the USA when they grow up...and their teachers encourage this.

So they will likely stay awhile but will continue their drive to the US. They know and believe there will be a way into the US.

I would be very cautious about this report.

Fox news had actual video the other day of Buses all lined up to take these invaders to the next leg.
