He does not have a chance. Messaging is poorly crafted, and his reputation a far cry from ideal. We had a chance at a candidate with an unimpeachable character and reputation, and a solid message to boot. We blew it.

I would have been okay with Freitas, but your description of him is comically idealized. Freitas is more libertarian than Christian Conservative, and not fully pro-Trump.

He definitely leans more Libertarian, which is not entirely aligned with true-north Trump. I would not agree with 'comically idealized', however. But I think he had a better chance than Stewart will. Stewart's dishonesty leaves a bad taste.

Honestly, I think we have a long ways to go before we can find a candidate that can win Virginia back. Just my humble op.
