Honduran migrants traveling in a caravan to seek asylum at the U.S.-Mexico border are suing President Donald Trump, Attorney General Jeff Sessions and other key figures, arguing the administration's stance is "shockingly unconstitutional."
The class-action civil suit, filed Thursday in U.S. District Court in Washington, D.C., claims Trump "continues to abuse the law, including constitutional rights, to deter Central Americans from exercising their lawful right to seek asylum in the United States."
The suit asks the federal court to declare a number of Trump's recent policy proposals to be in violation of the supreme law of the land "to end this case and controversy."

I think they have to have a motion to dismiss and bring evidence that it has no merit. Otherwise the judge who threw it out will be overturned. And if I am right that seems fair. Judges shouldn’t rule on a case before hearing from both sides. That said there are reasons to dismiss it right now, but by the time they get to filing the motions the caravan will have arrived and some of those arguments I mentioned in my post above would be mute. If the evidence shows that we are processing all asylum requests in the usual manner, then the suit should be dismissed.
This takes human trafficking to a new level.
There’s been a coup in Honduras from what I read here:

This should be dismissed and sanctions assessed against the lawyers who filed it. Absolutely zero good faith basis under facts or law.
Moving a problem to the US doesn’t solve the problem, it spreads the problem.
To let vicious Central American criminals run loose among people already granted asylum here in the USA would be absurd.
“Funny though that New Yorkers seek asylum in Florida.”
If you had to pay suburban Metro New York property taxes you’d consider heading south too.
What is their “standing” here?
They have zero legal standing.
And how did this caravan of poor, uneducated, violent, illegal alien invaders, all the way down there, find enough money, lawyers, and the means to file a suit in a foreign country?
“how did this caravan of poor, uneducated, violent, illegal alien invaders, all the way down there, find enough money, lawyers, and the means to file a suit in a foreign country?”
I’d be looking at Beto. According to the Project Veritas video, he is funding a lot of the caravan’s expenses — illegally with campaign funds.
I would have the lawyer(s) disbarred after filing this. “We the People” are they citizens of the United States. If they don’t have that down, they cannot practice law.
Manuel Zelaya was outed in 2009, and it was NOT a coup (even though the US Govt stated it was). They followed their Constitution in removing him after the Supreme Court and his own party asserted his act of attempting to hold a referendum on term limits was unconstitutional. The only part that was possibly unconstitutional (it was never litigated), was the military sending him to Costa Rica. You can't do that to a Honduran citizen. But the removal from office was constitutional, despite what the Hillary Clinton State Department decreed.
Sweeping young men off the streets in Honduras for the Army is nothing new. I saw it happen when I was a teenager in Honduras. They usually do it when soccer games let out. Things never change.
How does a citizen of a DIFFERENT country have standing ...”
Easy. Long before and especially since Trumps election judges have been ALLOWED to make it up as they go. We have no Law but what judges care to assert.
This a joke, right?
If they are attempting to gain asylum, then by UN regulation, they had to apply for such in their home country -OR- in the first country they arrive in, which is Nicaragua.

That would be Guatemala, but it hardly matters, the principle is the same.
“Illegal aliens have NO constitutional rights.”
You would think, wouldn’t you? But, honestly now, are you willing to bet the farm on that?

Investigations into a Virginia-based company accused of preying on detained undocumented immigrants have expanded. Libre by Nexus, an immigration bond services company, is the subject of probes by the attorneys general of Virginia, New York and Washington state, according to state and federal court records. The previously unreported investigations come on top of a federal probe by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), made public in October.
In a statement, Libres parent company, Nexus Services, acknowledged two of the state investigations and did not deny the third. Nexus . . . continues to cooperate with responsible inquiries into our business model and the life-affirming work we do every day to support immigrants, CEO Mike Donovan said. Libre by Nexus helps post bond for people being held in immigration detention centers while they wait for their cases to be heard in backlogged courts. In exchange for their freedom, immigrants sign contracts promising to pay Libre $420 per month while wearing the companys GPS ankle devices.

Just weeks ago, he, his husband, his company, and four attorneys representing the company were sanctioned for over $31000 in attorneys fees for their bogus lawsuit filed against Augusta County, Virginia.
