I have a good friend in So.CAL who has a good friend who is an illegal immigrant - and his illegal immigrant friend is totally FOR THE WALL and against the invasion of illegals!
A hypocrite? No. He came in legally and not once, but TWICE paid immigration attorney’s tens of thousands of dollars to finish his case/application - and both stole his money and he got nothing.
He can’t report the crook attorneys because now that he’s overstayed his visa, he would be deported.
ABSOLUTELY spot on. They believe they are High Spanish (and a surprising amount of High German) at the core, and associate everything source of the border with lower Caribbean influence. And a lot of them are High Spanish, frankly.
I mean the whole attitude towards emigracion among the Mexican upper class is one of near-derision. The US to them is twice-a-year trips to Disneyland or Vegas, and they don't want 3rd wavers f'ing up their ease of access.

Like my wife and our entire conservative supporting family that will all vote red come Election Day. They are all over the place in large numbers. The left is about to face electoral annihilation.
Legal immigrants hate illegals.....I worked construction in Denver and we had the labor foreman check around and if the workers though he was illegal they wanted him gone..
I’ve lived in Texas 20 years. The only people I’ve ever heard use the term “wetback” have been Hispanics.
There can be quite a bit of friction between Hispanics who have been here and while and recent immigrants. Recent immigrants are often seen as rude, demanding, and wanting to have everything given to them. Immigrants can be particularly rude to younger generation Hispanics who don’t speak nor understand Spanish- a common situation.
I think this may be more common than most people know.
I talked with a lady recently who is an American citizen, born and raised here. Her husband is Mexican, a legal immigrant.
She told me about a friend of theirs, also legal, who has been trying to get some family members here from Mexico. After paying a considerable sum of money for various “fees” supposedly required by the US government, and still getting the runaround by the immigration attorney, he found out that he not only paid fees not required by the government, but also that the lawyer had not told him that his relatives had been approved. It sounds like the lawyer has been drawing out the process in order to extract more money from the client.
As for the lawyer, well, she’s Hispanic, of course.
I’m in Mississippi - according to Libs, one of the most racist States in the Nation. Saw many Blacks carrying Romney yard signs and other gear during a local fair before the election....saw same carrying Trump gear before that election....lots of working Blacks and Latinos can be seen getting coffee and breakfast at local convenience stores each morning down here...some even complimented me on my Trump shirt/hat...one was an older Black lady who said she’s been waiting for a President Trump all her life and didn’t realize it until he came into the political picture.
It was Chavez that coined the now unspeakable epithet of wetback and pushed for strong border defenses and zero tolerance of illegal migration.
*********************************************
The term was first used in the 1920s to refer to people who crossed our Southern border by swimming or wading the Rio Grande River.
Chavez and his union stuff was in the early 1960s.
“According to libs” that says it all. The truth is that it them who are the racists and it doesn’t matter in what state they reside.
I think it is very common - immigrants trying to be legal cannot do a thing.
Sad.
It gets even more specific than that. Southern Mexicans, the Surenos, and northern Mexicans, the Nortenos, hate each other, too.
