In what was clearly one of the most shocking polls to come out of Iowa this year, a New York Times/Siena College survey released over the weekend showed Democrat Cindy Axne leading Republican Rep. David Young by 43 to 41 percent in the Des Moines-based 3rd District.

You know, Oklahoma might end up with a Dim governor? Established former State Attorney General Dim campaigning as a conservative verses an outsider Republican. The establishment GOP has not gotten behind the outsider at all.
Truth is, none of the pollsters have a clue what is going to happen on Tuesday (even the polls we like). The primary reason is that turnout looks to be massive, and may even be greater than the turnout for 2016 in some places. This is messing with the models that pollsters use, models that don’t account for such participation in midterm elections.
“Local news” now is just a bunch of liberal just-out-of-college kids who work cheap, which is just what the old-hippie editors and station owners want.
This election is really nerve wrecking. No one seems to be able to get a true accurate poll. I feel it’s down to turn out. I honestly don’t know what’s going to happen. I’m bracing myself for the worst - losing the House.

I don’t believe any poll, whether it shows the Dem or the Republican ahead. I have uncomfortable memories of the state election just last year in VA. Most polls showed it was too close to call. The Republicans were all sounding VERY confident just before the election. The Democrat Northam won easily.
Almost everyone here says the polls are biased towards the Dems. Maybe that is the case in many of these races. Then again, maybe not.
