I saw a photo on the @TheLastRefuge twitter feed where POTUS salutes the 3 fine native Americans sitting behind him on the podium. I wondered could this be possible? I went back on the youtube coverage to the very end and yes, it seems like he actually does salute them. They seem to acknowledge his gesture. I found this gesture very touching somehow.

Many of my siblings are some percent MORE than Pocahantas. My beef is that the leaders and all have not assimulated and helped their citizens to thrive. Drive to and from any reservation and the roads are lined with broken glass from alcohol containers, the reservations are universally filthy, trashed, and run down, even when they have lots of money. They have no discipline, their kids do whatever they want, like illegal aliens, they and their kids are at the 24-hour stores at all hours, and, like Anchorage, the stagger around the streets, sit at street corners drunk. Fancy headdresses are not fixing that.
