realistically, half of Los Angeles has moved up to Las Vegas.
These people ran away from the high taxes and resulting high cost of living in Californication
but then they bring their same damned commie-leftist politics with them, to screw up Nevada (or where-ever they go)
maybe 10 percent of them vote intelligently, either because they always did.. or because they learned the lesson of the Golden State being destroyed by commie-leftist political hacks
the other 90% come to destroy
“The EV lead in NV in 2016 was 46K in favor of the Dems. So the lead has been cut in half with EV in 2018. So why is everyone panicking?”
Because on FR:
If you lead with the early votes = OMG maybe we are peaking too soon!?!? The Dems know by how much to cheat!!!! We are getting complacent!!!
If you dont = OMG The Dems are too energized!! I hear nothing but ads for the other guy!!! It’s all over!!!
Rinse and repeat every election.
10 percent of the refugees from Californcation are conservatives, another 10 percent have maybe learned the lesson of how leftist/commie politics have destroyed the OGS (once-golden state) that they’re fleeing
the other 80 percent come to destroy, bringing their commie-leftist voting patterns with them
Heller wins more Indies. He goes into election day with a 22k deficit. He can make that up with strong election day turnout. As long as turnout doesn’t drop off significantly, he’s in for the win. TargetSmart Data is reassuring also.

It seems nationwide, the candidates that were on the Trump train from the beginning are doing real good. The ones like Heller that are on the rink turdle...........not so much.
I doubt its changed much. Nevada has always been a close state.
Bush won it twice by about 3pts each time.
Obama won it by 12pts and 7pts
Hillary won it by 2.5pts
Its gonna be close again this year.
Heller was originally NeverTrump but hes been a big supporter of Trump since the 2016 election. Supports all Trumps priorities.
Here in Arizona, I find a lot of California refugees are unhappy about California but have no idea WHAT turned California into a rotten place to live. They just think California has a little too much government regulation, taxation, etc. They want California-Lite. Very different from REJECTING the failed policies in CA.
The folks I meet who have left California aren’t conservatives. Just moderate liberals.
I know how you feel, I was so angry when Heller won the primary. It seems to me though, somehow, that Reid controls everything, even the GOP. By the way, please do not vote for Initiative 1. It really is an evil evil law. It protects the Christine Blaisey Fords of this world, and essentially destroys the defendant’s right to presumption of innocence and the right to confront the accuser. When a case goes to trial, the odds are likely that the defendant is innocent. He has absolutely been offered a plea bargain and has refused to take it, the guilty will take the plea. That being said, the innocent will often take a plea as well because they do not have the resources to vigorously defend themselves and the overworked public defender really does not have the resources or time to mount the kind of defense that is needed. Remember too, the defandent already has the full power of the state with its unlimited resources lined up against him, he does not need to walk into the courtroom with the deck stacked even stronger against him. And, the victim already has plenty of rights if the defendant is found guilty, which happens 96% of the time. Our criminal justice system is already broken, and this ballot initiative makes it even worse.
In fact, all the ballot initiatives are evil except the ones providing tax exemptions for some medical devices and for feminine hygiene products. I think both of those deserve a “yes” vote.
Don’t blame native Californians for the mess California is in, it is the liberal fruits and nuts from the other 49 moving there and ruining the state that caused this. Remember this is the state that gave the nation Ronald Reagan. I think, too, if you question these “Californians” who moved to your state while keeping their stupid democrat ideas, you will find that they are originally from somewhere else. We native Californians have more sense and we did not wreck our state. Many of us have left, and have helped you keep your states from going completely crazy. But, unfortunately, now the fruits and nuts who created the mess, are also leaving. (Also, as an aside, I think the real problems began in the 1960s when the electorate thought they would be better served by a full time legislature. I am hoping and praying that Nevada never makes the same mistake.)
No panic here, but understand that Vegas has gone more blue since 2016 and Heller screwed up on a few things that Rosen is tainting him with - mostly health care. I have thought for sometime that he would be lucky to win.
Excellent point. I see the same thing.
NV is trending blue due to demographic changes. And the SEIU has become a major electoral force for the Dems. Eventually, NV will be solid blue.
You hit the nail on the head!!!
You hit the nail on the head!!!
Statewide lead was 47,000 in 2016.
Very good result.
Was hoping we could keep it to under 20, but this still points to a Heller victory and probably NV3 flip.
Tried to vote this week, like yesterday over 50 people in line. I’ll now vote on Tuesday, probably big line as well. I’ll hold my nose and vote Heller, but not happy about it. I’m sure I’m not alone. Figure I am in same boat as those in Texas faced with voting for Cruz. Oh well, one for the party. Hope we get better choices in 6 years. Maybe Trump can give both some quiet spot in admin, something out of the way, then let the Republican governor’s in both states appoint a Trump Republican, someone strong to take and hold these two seats.
Really. Some people get so hysterical. Rs lost 2016 by 47,000, are some 25,000 better. We’ll get NV3 too.
I figure Yes on victim rights to bring the state in line with the federal government, tax exemptions okay but irked by the picking of favorites instead of an overhaul, deregulation looks like a farce, and setting buy targets for energy is dangerous. Automatic registration and update is fine, the latter seems a no-brainer. Doesn’t force anyone to vote, but I’m fine with the simplification. Long overdue and cheap.
It'll be close, but I think he can pull it out.
