Seems unlikely he’d do this if there was a strong case against him.
If I was ever involved in any kind of criminal,or civil,matter and I knew I was guilty my basic attitude would be to just lie down and take it.That attitude stems mainly from the fact that I'm a terrible liar (meaning unconvincing) and I'm a terrible actor.OTOH,if I knew I was innocent I'd fight like hell...with the knowledge in mind that I'm quite articulate *and* convincing when I'm telling the truth.
The fact that he's doing this could well indicate that he is,in fact,innocent.
