You have anticipated my response: there is no way to predict how many voters will cross their party's lines. In Fla we have closed primaries - thank God! - but in the general election obviously folks can vote their conscience.

My wife is not a registered Democrat or Republican, but she voted straight Republican this time. My wife is a native of central Mexico who came over here with completely liberal views which have been re-directed over many years. It can be done. It takes time.
