The landslide that had Hillary Clinton on the losing end ruined all of their plans. In a runaway crushing of 30 to 20 I hope this is sarcasm. 2016 was neither a landslide nor a runaway crushing. It was a last minute squeaker that could have very easily gone the other way. A landslide is 59% to 41% and 49-2 in states like 1984. Any other Republican would probably have lost in 2016 because I don't see any of them from Kasich to Cruz picking up the upper midwest.
