The Dallas Morning Newss editorial board called on Democratic Rep. Robert Beto ORourke on Friday to provide clarification regarding where he stands on the migrant caravan that is heading towards the U.S border.
ORourke, who is trying to unseat Republican Sen. Ted Cruz, has been dodging the issue, despite immigration and border security overwhelmingly being the top issues for voters in Texas. Cruz urged reporters on Friday to probe ORourke into what he intends to do if elected to the Senate on Nov. 6.
Two basic [questions] every reporter should ask Beto today, Cruz tweeted. (1) should the caravan be allowed to cross illegally into Texas? (Beto refuses to answer.) And (2) did your campaign dollars illegally fund their doing so?
Cruzs second question was in reference to undercover footage that was released on Thursday by Project Veritas. In the video, ORourkes campaign staff alluded to campaign resources that were being used to assist the migrants on their way to the Texas border, a move that would violate federal law. ORourke later claimed that the spending will be appropriately reported to the Federal Election Commission as a charitable expense.

Green Lake is 10k acres in Calhoun County. Largest true natural freshwater lake. There are others.
Caddo is actually impounded.
The Dallas Morning News was very conservative when I was a little kid. (Shows you how old I am.). Then the Dallas Times Herald folded and the News took over the liberal slot. It was nice back in the olden days when there were 2 newspapers - with different viewpoints.
Did the national media including Fox report about Beto’s campaign subsidizing the caravan? I have not seen it but refuse to watch the Main Stream Media but do watch Fox on occasion. I get my information right here on Free Republic!
LOL........could not have happened to a more deserving guy.
Think verisimilitude.
One thinks of JFK sailing the ocean on the Cape.
Vote provisional
The fact that he doesn't respond, or appear to care who knows, shows that he's not only lawless, he knows he's already beaten.
Bobby Frank looks about as ‘hispanic’ as Ted Kennedy.
Huh? I'm having a little trouble squaring that statement with my (limited) knowledge of geography ...

Sure ... but when did Texas become “landlocked”
I distinctly recall going to a place called “Galveston”. I’m sure it’s in Texas ... and that blue stuff looked (sounded, smelled) an awful lot like saltwater ...
I thought I read you had to be a resident of Texas to be able to vote in this election. The lease on the house were renting started on October 21. Nowhere soon enough.
*resident for 30 days
Watched one video of him speaking. His lying tell is very obvious. Looks down and to the side, then gets a little smirk going.
Good God, quit being so anal.......it was a joke.
He thinks Texas is land locked?
And he lives in this state?
That is almost as good as Obama’s 57 states.
