Will Utah be part of a 'blue wave?
Deseret News ^ | 11/4/2018 | Lisa Riley Roche

Anyone questioning the existence of a "blue wave" of Democratic voters surging toward control of the U.S. House in Tuesday's midterm elections just needs to look at Utah's 4th Congressional District race, national experts say.

"There's no question there's a Democratic wave. If there wasn't, we wouldn't be talking about this seat," David Wasserman, who analyzes House races around the country for the Cook Political Report, told the Deseret News.

But he and others, including NBC News, said it remains to be seen whether the wave is strong enough in Utah to carry Democratic Salt Lake County Mayor Ben McAdams to victory over Republican Rep. Mia Love in her bid for a third term.

"The district is traditionally so Republican, we would not go so far as to say McAdams is the favorite," Wasserman said, noting nonpartisan Washington-D.C. -based election analysts continue to rate the race as a toss-up.

This article doesn't mention the fact that Mia has been ignorant towards Trump. This fact may cost her the election.

Electing Mitt is a sign of a Blue Wave.

Still an R counts for control of house and she will be less of a threat than a Democrat. Vote Republican as if you life depended on it...... it probably does or at least the quality of your life depends on the vote.

Astounding logical inference.

Amazing that they just make up new lies, and the old lies are forgotten.

It’s kind of fun to just look up the author’s archive and you’ll find all sorts of stuff that resemble Democrat talking points as opposed to real thought and analysis on issues. Someone a few days ago here posted an article by NPR’s Jessica Taylor and I did the same sort of thing and found a real gem called “Obama: ‘Trump hasn’t captured the zeitgeist of the country’”.

Mia Love and Mitt Romney are Bush League Republicans hell bent on turning the USA into North Mexico.

They may as well be wearing D jerseys.

Mia Love beat a Dem to win the seat in the first place. Her subsequent wins have been narrow.

Yep, as if we didn’t need more confirmation that Utah voters are pathetic—Romney as a Never Trumper Senator. Jeesh!

Well, Myth Romney is the only Republican presidential candidate who caused me to vote Libertarian, so I could see some weakness in the base there.

I even voted for McCain, on hopes that he would keel over and Palin could have been president.

Yep. That's right. When all your candidates are Democrats, it is sort of inevitable that it is a blue wave.

after he threw the 2012 election to the Illegal Invader In Chief (wonder how much SorozNazi paid him to do THAT!?)

and after he made such an ASS of himself after DJT won the 2016 election,

I, a former campaign worker for Mitt... wouldn’t even vote for him to work cleaning sewer pipes!

well, maybe he’d do ok in that job....

This C.D. is rated R+13 whereas the other 3 CDs in Utah are around R+25. There are a fair amount of Dems many of whom are teachers, professors, and in government service living in CD 4 but it is a stretch to say that there is a blue wave developing in Utah.

We shall see what we shall see on Tuesday night.

Trump got 39% of the vote in her district.

In one word—NOPE. Mitt and the Mormons will help to lead the Red wave. I predict Mill will become Trump’s best friend and supporter in years to come.

Your position depends on abstract reasoning, which with a 95-IQ electorate won't take you very far.

All anti-MAGA Republicans are at risk - and there's lots of them.

I have D +40 House and R +4 Senate. We'll know in 72 hours.
