Losing a House seat is not a Blue wave.

You are nuts! You don’t pick up 40 House seats and lose Senate seats. Republican voters are voting for Republicans to keep Trump’s agenda going, not punish anti-MAGA ones.

We'll see shortly.

Why not go all in and say we lose the Senate as well? That is what would happen if the Democrats picked up 40 House seats.

Politics at the House level is very “local.” Mia was going to be a big visibility winner last go around but she has let the media ignore her.

This is what Trump is so good at — he refuses to be ignored.

Correct, and that's why this election is so problematic.

If we had 435 MAGA-crazed lunatics running on Tuesday, we would have 350 seats. But we don't.

That's correct, and utterly stupid. Just about every tight race Republicans have now in red states is where the Congress Critter tried to distance themselves from Trump.

Mia Love got my vote, and so did Romney. BUT Romney is a snake, a reptilian lizard people, and everybody here knows it. Fortunately for him, EVERY Democrat is a sub-human, anti-human, genocidal maniac, slightly worse than a reptile, and everybody also knows that. Thus, Romney the Snake is just lucky his election is statewide. He'll win 70% or so.

Mia Love is not so lucky. Her district includes a huge chunk of communist Salt Lake County. She will not get any votes from the communist Democrats, and she cannot afford to lose a single vote from Republican voters. Trump has already separated the wheat from the chaff, and she should have recognized that. She might win, but it will be tight.

You may be right but I do not see a +40 Dem gain in house. However, I believe there will be a marginal takeover primarily because of the retirements and incompetence of Paul Ryan undermining the Trump agenda,

+4 Senate and -40 House is my prediction too.

You don’t get that easily, but this is the year you can get it.

There is a very strong swing in sentiment and enthusiasm of Democrats in the Northeast, California and suburbia elsewhere. Many, and if it’s bad, most of the Republicans House representing districts that Trump lost or narrowly carried are going to lose.

It so happens in the Senate that Democrats are disproportionately defending seats in states that Trump carried by a fair margin, and Republicans are defending almost no Senate seats in states that Clinton carried. Also, Trump is more popular than ever in rural districts and in red-state exurban districts and that will actually increase the vote for Republican Senate candidates in close statewide races, but do nothing for the House results, given that those voters reside in already-safe Republican House districts.

You are out of your mind. You don’t lose Senate seats and lose 40 House seats. There is no big enthusiasm for Democrats in Republican held districts, which are the ones that Democrats have to flip! Check out the information from those Districts!

I had an interesting conversation with one of my wife’s college friends a little over a month ago while the three of us we had dinner in Salt Lake.

Her friend has been an editor at Deseret News for more than a decade and is

1. A feminist
2. Unhappy
3. In her early 40’s, childless, and never married.

She had nothing good to say about Trump or conservatives (my wife is more conservative than I am) but she did recognize her job was dependent on her “towing the line” since the Mormons wrote her paycheck.

She was a fit, attractive woman but her outlook on life was so unbelievably depressing/desperate that I couldn’t imagine any man desiring more than a single date with her.

Dexter, sounds exactly like a gal I worked alongside in the newsroom at my TV station in Illinois so many years ago. She was a Chicago native and came across on the air as an unhappy single female. She moved on to Las Vegas to make other viewers unhappy.

My graduate experience at the U. of Utah (1985-87) was decidely more liberal than my first go round in 1977. The classrooms were filled with liberal assistants and professors. Students were protesting this and that just about every week. It was always the lib students, unkempt, with the high-top tennies and pants and shirts that never matched but actually clashed for effect.

They came to Utah to snowboard, hike, and spread their liberal disease. Uofortunately they stayed. I’d say the Utah Travel Council is to blame. Maybe the Travel Council should concentrate on atomic testing fallout tourism and see if that has a more positive effecton the trend to purple in CD 4.

Well, the GOP made it easy for the racist democrats in Utah, by electing a black woman. We know that there is nothing the democrats hate more than a black person, or a woman, who isn’t totally in debt to them, and totally beholden to their largesse. Mia Love is a free black, the worst kind to the elite democrats who want to keep minorities on the plantation.
