Two days ago, Putin proposed to return the name of the current "General Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces" back to the GRU (foreign military intelligence agency of the Soviet Army).
This, for the 100th anniversary celebration of the founding of RU (later GRU until 2010) by Trotsky 11/5/1918.
What a better way to celebrate, than to offer a little sunshine on the KGB (Russian secret service).

Torrent has the first 4 out of 8 manuals. I believe this is the first open source on the last 4, and the first I have seen of the original Russian docs.

It is perhaps worth noting that horndog Bill Clinton went to Moscow as a college student.
I bet the KGB has some very interesting pictures and video of him cavorting with Russian hookers and underaged girls...and boys.

"Yet what is most intriguing about them is that these same methods are still used today and now amplified with new technology." Not to worry!
Our magnificent intelligence agencies are on the job...None of those dirty old and successful techniques and patriotic loyalties for us...
Our intels have:
- Far superior LGBT diversity;
- Employ substantial numbers of the Nation's enemies;
- Substantial numbers of the Nation's enemies in leadership positions;
- Recognition that gun owners are the Nation's #1 enemy;
- Recognition that climate-warming deniers are the Nation's #2 enemy;
- Recognition that Christianity is the Nation's #3 enemy; and,
- Substantial support given to the Nation's radical marxist politicians.

Now its the FSB - the Federal Security Service headquartered in the same building that formerly housed the KGB.

Not to be pedantic but if the manuals are actually KGB manuals then they're at least 20 years old, since the agency now calls itself the FSB.
Regarding the GRU, I worked with a guy in the 1990s who was a former senior lieutenant in the GRU. Something he managed because of family connections - working at a listening station in Armenia kept him out of Afghanistan. While there he got caught by his CO dubbing an ABBA cassette on the GRU's Sony dubbing cassette decks. He spent the rest of his military career dubbing ABBA and various other western pop groups for sale on the black market. This affirmed my suspicion about "Intelligence" agencies generally.

I bet the KGB has some very interesting pictures and video of him cavorting with Russian hookers and underaged girls...and boys. An Armenian who was once in Siberia told me that her brother was suddenly befriended by a girl - I mean a beautiful girl when the Soviet government wanted him to decide not to emigrate even tho his parents had emigrated and he was slated to go to the US as well. So, in the communist system, "alls fair."

KGB training manual?

Can you really tell the difference?

Yep, blue jeans and rock-n-roll brought down the Soviet Union. (Well, with a little help from Ronald Reagan...)
Speaking of, I was living in Belgium ‘81-82 during Reagan’s first term. There were anti-nuke protests all the time and all over the place, KGB propaganda films (such as Voici l’Amerique), and general hatred for America among the Belges, much like that thrown at Trump today.
Amazingly, the Cold War Deep State didn’t recognize the seismic shift in attitudes of normal people in Belgium, and, I assume, across Europe: they loved John Wayne, they loved Chuck Berry, and they loved Ronald Reagan.
THAT’s how the Cold War was won.

I have a feeling that something big is going to come from the meeting between Trump and Putin on the 11th. Just a feeling.
