Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) addressed criticism about violent Democratic protests saying “protest is about making you feel uncomfortable,” during an interview with Roland Martin on Saturday.

“I told someone the other day who is trying to say that we’re violent when we protest, protest is about making you feel uncomfortable. I’m not supposed to come to you and say ‘may I protest you?’ No, absolutely not,” Waters said. …

I’m not supposed to come to you and say ‘may I protest you?’

Actually, yes you are.

Otherwise it's Disturbing the Peace.

The First Amendment conveys no right to be heard.

I do not believe there is any Constitutional right to "protest", as described in this article.

There are two rights that are implicated, and they are arguably actually joined by the word "and" into a single right.

First is the "right peaceably to assemble". No activity - NONE - the purpose of which is to upset uninvolved third parties or to make them uncomfortable is "peaceable".

Second is the "right to petition the Government for a redress of grievances". Your local Was-Mart is not the government. Calling Trump a Nazi is not a petition for redress, and, of course, there are since 1962 or so literally thousands of other examples.

The TEA party had nothing but Peaceful rallies and the Leftist Scumbags LIED about them.. They called them violent when in fact it was Leftists doing the attacks on conservatives. They called spittle coming out of the mouth of an elderly man a racist attack.. They blamed the older man who had his finger bitten off by a rabid young Leftist the fault of the victim. American has had Enough! Leftist Scumbags will LOSE, LOSE, LOSE!!

"Protests Is About Making You Feel Uncomfortable"

Actually, she is quite correct. I find it unpleasant to want to wade into them with a running chain saw. And do their parents with a flame thrower, their pets with a wood chipper, everyone on their smart phone call list with a Pinochet trip out to sea on a helicopter...

Yup, I'd find all that uncomfortable... Doable, but I don't think I'd laugh out loud.

I might be a bit “uncomfortable” if in the midst of the rock-slinging mobs, but, IF I live through it, that won’t have any effect...ANY EFFECT...on what I choose in the voting booth.

With that in mind, all of Soros’ money and ANTIFA’s effort are for naught.

It’s just saber rattling.

Maxine Waters definitely makes me wonder how so many people can be so, “challenged,” to put someone like her in a public office.
