Those who might allow the Progressive ideology to enter and occupy their minds tend to embrace the socialist idea, but, as stated in the article you posted: "The greatest evil of socialism is its central conceit. Out of such an ideology, then, comes the kind of grouping, or placing Creator-endowed fellow citizens, into "baskets," and labeling them as undesirable and/or "deplorable," although those citizens may be as "endowed" and capable as the accuser/judge.
