I voted this morning at 7, before work.
WARNING to people voting in Allegheny County—I tried to vote Straight R, and the machine defaulted to straight D!!
I could not deselect it myself. I had to have the poll worker do it for me and she did not even know what to do. We finally got it straightened out, but I never could vote straight R. I had to select each candidate individually.
I’ll bet they never default to ‘R’! We have paper ballots, but I’m going to pick the candidates individually as well, although we’ve never had a problem here in Indiana County. I’m going to vote on my lunch hour and then leaving work a half hour early so my daughter-in-law can take the car and vote. She has no car during the day and has to work tonight so she only has a small window of time to vote and, like me, is chomping at the bit to get to the polls and vote RED!
