Ocasio-Cortez calls question about how to pay for Medicare for all ‘puzzling’
FOX ^ | Nov. 6, 2018 | Brooke Singman

New York congressional candidate Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez had a quick answer when asked how Americans would pay for the 'Medicare for all' plan she and other socialist-leaning Democrats favor: "Just pay for it." In an interview with Jorge Ramos last week, Ocasio-Cortez was asked how she would pay for the multi-billion dollar health care plan promoted by liberal lawmakers like Sens. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., and Kamala Harris, D-Calif. Ramos noted critics say the the program would be "more expensive" than the current system, to which she answered that people would "just pay for it." “People often say, like, how are you going to pay for it and I find the question so puzzling because ‘How do you pay for something that’s more affordable? How do you pay for cheaper rent?’ You just pay for it,” she said. “We’re paying more now.” According to recent studies, the program, first introduced by Sanders over the summer, would increase government health spending by $32.6 trillion over 10 years.

I find it “puzzling” that anyone with two functioning brain cells would vote for this communist, clueless little girl.

Then again, it’s socialists we’re talking about here....they have NO functioning brain cells.

“....As an example, I was talking to an enthusiastic wannabe thirty-something author working on a manuscript. He had a uniformed beat cop checking a top secret US government database. When I tried to explain that beat cops didn’t have access to US government secrets he looked confused, then laughed and said, “Well, nobody is going to know that.” .....”

And now this guy is a writer for TV & movies!

Maybe not but it wouldn’t surprise me, given the nonsense on TV & in movies!

She once said that savings on funeral costs would help pay for it. She was saying that there would be fewer deaths once we have socialized medicine, and that savings from lower funeral costs should be factored into the equation.

Cortez won because she got a few dozen people to vote for here IN THE PRIMARIES

Only a small fraction of voters go to the polls for PRIMARIES

Every Free per here could win a primary.

One election day 26 people voted at my polling place- not 26% 26 PEOPLE. And the candidate ran unopposed.

So if hal those voters were Dems, then anyone could have unseated the RINO republican if they simply got 20 people to turn out to vote for them.

THE PRIMARIES ARE WHERE YOU UNSEAT YOUR USELESS GOP RINO

I am quite certain that most things that she encounters are “puzzling” to Ms. Occasional Cortex. She makes my dogs look like Nobel laureates.

Its been absolutely true since at least the mid eighties.
When I was at Oklahoma State (picking up credits between active duty tours) they shut down two high rise dorms, reportedly for lack of occupancy.

I lived in a two bedroom apartment three miles from campus. Food, rent, utilities and all cost me two thirds of what a tiny shared dorm room went for only without all the noise. If I got a roommate then I was down to a third of what the dorms and cafeteria cost.

This was the institution which proclaimed it could teach people to run a business.

Maybe they could, but I would like to see hard numbers on how many of those people founded successful businesses.

It reminds me of those people that sell stuff to help get rid of diabetes or the ones selling drinks that make you lose weight. But when you ask them what’s in it and how that helps, they can’t answer you. You should just pay a lot for the product and trust them.

“Economic History”

Sounds like a course of study designed to facilitate discussion of disparity of income and the propagation of economic injustice - and that would fit entirely with what she’s trying to sell.
