Texas is a good state for retirement, but Tucson AZ is very nice. There is a great VA Hospital and Tucson is a very good place for retired because of it’s low cost of living. Rents are way below the national average, our grocery bill are much lower than what we paid in our years in Minnesota, and the weather here in AZ is marvelous.
Now for the bad, liberal city but not the crazy liberals that goes out of their way to demonize anyone who doesn’t think like them.
The only thing we really need is for more Republican to retire here in Tucson.
The Tuscon area is a well known leftist stronghold with a very high Hispanic population which explains the leftist stronghold. Even the representative, Grihalva, is extremely far left.
If it wasn’t for that; I’d consider moving there.
