Obama Created More Jobs In His Last 21 Months Than Trump Created in His First 21 Months
Second Nexus ^ | November 5, 2018 | Alan Jude Ryland

Ed Henry, the chief national correspondent for Fox News, fact-checked weekend ‘Fox & Friends’ host Pete Hegseth on Saturday after Hegseth claimed that former President Barack Obama should not be given credit for the healthy economy.

Hegseth began:

“Democrats want to talk about health care. They don’t want to talk about immigration. They can’t talk about the economy. I mean Barack Obama is trying to say he rebuilt the economy.”

At which point Henry chimed in:

“You’ve read the numbers, I’m sure. Barack Obama created more jobs in his final 21 months than President [Donald] Trump has created in his first 21. I’m not saying this President inherited it, but would you acknowledge that he was handed a better economy than Barack Obama got?”

Not buying it without some very detailed analysis of the U6 numbers. And government jobs don’t count. Neither do part-time jobs.

If true, it’s not because of anything he did. It was in spite of him.

But if he did it was because they were all part-time jobs.

...Or in China

Obama’s brilliant 10 year plan to restart the economy -

1. Play golf for 8 years

2. Watch as record numbers of people are forced to get 2-3 part time jobs in order to make ends meet.

3. Brag about the number of part time jobs created.

4. Walk off into the sunset while Trump spends the next 2 years turning your phantom recovery into a real one.

Lower gas prices were in spite of Obama

He opposed the pipeline, fracking, and off shore drilling.

This needs to be fact checked and the facts must include the part time jobs and full time jobs figures independently.

I remember in 2016 how they were talking about the “new gig economy” with tons of new jobs filled by folks on contract for only various lengths of contracts, and tons of part time workers. Is that what 2017 and 2018 have been doing?

What “fact-checking”? I read the article. No math, no numbers, just “Many economists” and “Most economists” and “These here economists” and “Them there economists”. Show me the raw numbers, broken down by sector, and a list of Obama’s policies that caused growth within those sectors and, more importantly, across sectors, then I’ll believe facts were checked. I ask too much, I know.

Stupid. Trump created his jobs after they said we could get any more. And he created his jobs with a rising interest rates and the fed selling their balance sheet not adding to it. In other words Obama said rump could not do what he is doing. He Economists like Krugman and Summers said Trump could not do what he is doing. They said he could not get manufacturing jobs back. They said they could not bring the unemployment down to 3.7. They said he could not get more jobs without more immigration. They said he could not get the GDP growth above 3%. But Trump did all these things, without a magic wand. And he set records of black employment, women employment and Hispanic employment.

Replacing three full time jobs with benefits with five part time jobs without benefits saying “Fries with that?” is not job growth.

How many jobs were taken by US citizens under Obama?

That is exactly right....How many U.S. Citizens were even considered for jobs?

I have an advanced degree in Physics and was pushed out of my previous position. The job I had, was given to an H1-B visa holder from India at 1/3 of what I was making.

The subsequent three years of looking for work, and basically going to interview after interview only to be awarded with complete silence after the fact. No, follow-up. No nothing.

After Trump came into office it has taken about 15 months to get another job, that position is paying 20% higher than what I was making in my previous.

It has hurt hard to be middle-aged, white, and straight.

You don’t get to KILL 10 MILLION jobs in 6 years and then claim credit for “growing” 4 Million jobs in your last 2 years!!!

Context people, Context!!!

It's who MAKES the jobs...

It's not who COUNTS the jobs...

After President Trump was elected president, the "Help Wanted" signs appeared, and the plywood that had boarded up businesses disappeared.

If this is remotely true; they are mostly entry level go-nowhere jobs.
